Good Technical Manual
Very good manual, if you pay attention to the title. It is a technical manual, intended for depot and armory maintenance of the M-1 Carbine. It refers you back to the basic field manual, FM23-7, for a few things that you need to know. You will need FM23-7, or another book covering basic maintenance, along with this manual. Good but old
The military manual is very thorough but it would have been better if it was updated with better pictures. It almost made you think you were in the 60's when you opened the manual. If you just want to get the nitty gritty, this is the manual to have.

Very good manual, if you pay attention to the title. It is a technical manual, intended for depot and armory maintenance of the M-1 Carbine. It refers you back to the basic field manual, FM23-7, for a few things that you need to know. You will need FM23-7, or another book covering basic maintenance, along with this manual. It has some good pictures and diagrams to identify parts. One review complained that it was old. Since U.S. forces have not used this weapon since the late '50s or early '60s this is expected.
