Average Basic Model,

This review is from: TMAS Hand Grips (Sold as a Pair) (Misc.)
These are your average, basic, hand grips. The resistance is good, but you'll find your hands hurting after doing these for a few minutes becasue of the hard plastic. It can be uncomfortable sometimes. It gives you a good workout, but I'm going to get some padded ones that offer the same workout without hurting your hands. I've been using them for a year now. 3 stars.

INEXPENSIVE YET VERY EFFECTIVE,

These classic style hand grips are probably the most overlooked, underrated, most effective hand strength training product there is. A while back, I'll say a few years ago. I was getting to a point where it would hurt me for me to shake people's hands. Even shaking WOMEN'S hands was painful. I said to myself "What the heck is wrong with me?" Well without getting into the long story of how I came up with a very effective personalized strength training muscle firming routine, I had a pair of DP Hand Grips in my junk drawer. It pays to be a pack rat sometimes. Mine have the DP (Diversified Products) emblem on them, but they are the same exact model as these. The proper way to start with and use these grips is to first start slowly, that's if you have a wimpy grip like I had that a girl could crush. First slowly squeeze and release the hand grips 3 to 5 times your first day. On your 3rd or 5th squeeze hold the handles together for as long as you comfortably can. DO NOT OVERSTRESS FOR YOUR FIRST WEEK. Then slowly release. (Do not try to rapidly squeeze out 20 to 100 reps just to prove something) You'll just waste your time and make your hands sore for nothing. As the days and weeks progress you can add more reps and put more effort into holding the handles together for longer periods of time. And when I say "hold the handles together" I don't mean put one hand grip against the other. Most average strength people will find holding these hand grips in the closed position for more than 30 seconds difficult to do at first. In fact the number of reps is somewhat inconsequential, although I'd recommend at least 10 to keep your hands limber. It's the duration of how long you can hold the grips in their closed position is what will increase your gripping power. IF and When you can get to a point you're holding these grips in the closed position for two full minutes you will have achieved very good hand strength. If you can do it for 5 minutes you must be from Krypton, lol. I can hold them for about 1 minute and 20 seconds so far, and opening jars and twisting off beer bottle caps has become much easier. The bottom line is, this is a great product. Easy in method, but not in effort to use. And when used properly will greatly enhance any strength training routine you are following. WHY ARE YOU STILL READING THIS? ORDER THESE HAND GRIPS NOW!

not good for small hands,
This review is from: TMAS Hand Grips (Sold as a Pair) (Misc.)
My biggest problem is that I have smallish hands, and I feel like I can't get a good grip on them - especially as my hands start to get tired. Other than that, they seem to do their job as expected.
