1.0 out of 5 stars THIS GAME SUCKS, March 24, 2007
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: TMNT (Video Game)
This game is terrible, waste of money. All they do is hop around. When you try to fight the enemy, its hard to even control the turtle to even face them, so you miss all the time. The game is so freakin easy to beat, i ordered it, waited five days, got it and played it, then within an hour, beat the game. You cant even choose what turtle you want to be, the missions already have the turtle chosen. I suggest if you want a teenage mutant ninja turtle game, get the part 3: mutant nightmare, that is a lot more fun. so easy to play, and so many levels to beat, and you can choose who you want to be

4.0 out of 5 stars A little young, but Turtles all the way!, April 11, 2007
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: TMNT (Video Game)
This game is made especially for children. With that being said, as an adult I enjoyed this game. It is fast-paced and is the first TMNT game to develop a system that is NOT ALL FIGHTING. It mostly revolves around "Ninja Abilites" and speed. You have to time your buttons correctly and move through the rooftops of NYC. I had no problem with the graphics (This is no EBA but not bad either)and the storyline and gameplay were pretty smooth. Overall, not the best DS game out there, but far from the worst (If you think this is the worst, you just haven't played that many DS games...seriously).
The replay value is a good, see how acrobatic and fast you can make it through the levels. Each level has a certain amount of collectables and secrets to unlock.
Overall, a really fun game.

1.0 out of 5 stars Possibly the worst game ever made for the DS, March 27, 2007
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: TMNT (Video Game)
The DS has it's more than fair share of titles that really show what the system can do, and are quite good. However, the DS has it's fair share of titles that are absolutely terrible to boot. TMNT falls into the latter category, and is possibly the worst game ever made for Nintendo's smash hit dual screened handheld. Based on the new CGI-rendered movie that resurrects the 80's comic book and cartoon heroes, TMNT boasts some of the ugliest 3-D graphics you'll ever see the DS pump out. After that, things in the gameplay department don't get much better. First of all, your freedom of movement throughout the game's 15 levels is incredibly limited. You are prompted to press certain buttons to progress through the area, which includes so few fighting elements throughout each level. This is made even worse by ungodly collision detection, super-clunky controls, and the game as a whole just isn't fun; which is what the point of video gaming is all about. If there's anything positive about TMNT, it's that the game pretty much ties in with the new movie, but other than that, there's no one redeemable factor to be found with this game. All in all, even for die hard TMNT fans, the DS version should be avoided at all costs. However, if you own a DS and craving some turtle action, check out the GBA version, which is actually pretty enjoyable.
