This review is from: TMS AR15 Bipod with Sling Adapter (Misc.)
This is the best you can buy for the money. A Harris will run you much more and it doesnt include a picatinny adapter which usually runs like 30 bucks. If you buy a sling adapter, you can go buy the 50 dollar harris imitation at Walmart and your still paying 70 bucks. The reason I got this is because it included the adapter. This is built exactly like the once at Walmart except the tightening screw is a smaller diameter. I disagree with the review that you can not quickly remove this. It takes me less than 10 seconds to remove. In real life situations (military) you will never use a bipod like this. This is great for bench shooting. Most people dont like the height for prone, but I do. If you are buying this as some kind of tactical accessorie, save yourself the time and trouble. Almost no military would use this tactically. Snipers have the bipods, but most soldiers use nothing. Also, why would you want to QD a bipod? The only problem I had with this, is there is no recess for the tightening screw to butt-up against, thus keeping if from sliding from one side or the other. The solution is either use a punch, or (me) drill a recess, takes 2 mintues.
You cannot find anything better than this for the money. You could spend 200 bucks on a bipod, but why? I'd rather spend my money on somthing that actually needs to have money thrown at it (scope anyone?). Great buy, do not regret it at all. This adorns a Bushmaster with over 2 grand invested in the best.

Great Bipod!,

This review is from: TMS AR15 Bipod with Sling Adapter (Misc.)
This bipod is exceptional! I purchased this for my Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 along with a 6x32 illuminated Leapers scope. This bipod is rock solid and provides great stabilization for any rifle. Its awesome that it is so simple to remove and then be left with a sling mount. The springs provide a good deal of tension in the lock "up" and "down" position with no wobble at all. This bipod is great quality and adds a good bit of front-end weight to my gun. Overall, I absolutely love it and highly recommend it! Pictures coming soon.

GREAT OVERALL VALUE - MINE SEEMS TO HAVE A MINOR DEFECT.,

This review is from: TMS AR15 Bipod with Sling Adapter (Misc.)
The bipod attached quickly to the bolt on the bottom of my savage model 10 308win rifle. Install took me less than 5 minutes. Stays in place firmly with no swing. Unit looks good and even though it advertises for use with an ar15, it could be a natural fit with lots of models out of there. Springs feel solid with fine tension. I am not using the picatinny/weaver rail > sling swivel stud adapter, which was included. I may use that rail on another piece and appreciated it being included.
Sacrificing the top bolt to the bipod would mean the loss of a sling connector but for the sling holes built into the bipod frame in a convenient location. There are two holes in two separate metal grips that are made to accomodate a sling adapter, which I was previously using with the rifle. On my bipod, only one of the sling holes was drilled wide enough to accomodate the standard size adapter. I am currently using the one hole, which means that the sling is off center and the pressure is spreading out unevenly throughout the frame of the bipod and all the pressure is 2x on the single hole. Not optimal. However, I can live with this until a fix is made available and would not hesitate to use the sling as-is for some time. I emailed the seller via amazon today looking for a fix, etc. I could always try to drill the hole out a bit myself but would prefer to see a seller fix for me to avoid warranty issues... There is a frame rail available that would work nicely but the instructions expressly state that using this rail creates a risk of damage to the bipod. The seller (treadpro) upgraded my shipping for free. Obviously that is not something that other users can expect but it was nice surprise. I shopped a great deal before making a value driven purchase decision on a bipod for my rifle. This clearly seems to have the most value out there for the class of product and even with the minor defect I am overally very pleased with the product. If there is any negative performance after my next trip to the range I will post an update but I highly doubt this will be an issue given the strength/feel of the product.
