It's everything you would (or wouldn't) expect in a good pocket Bible: lovely bonded leather, a few appendices, and the TNIV translation of the Bible which is excellent for a colloquial, modern translation. It all comes in a compact size while maintaining a font that is still readable. Comes with one ribbon bookmark. The only suggested improvement I would make is to include two or three ribbon bookmarks instead. Easily fits in a purse or pocket, will not take up much room in a school bag.

A Word to the Reader - Explains the TNIV translation philosophy

Appendix I - Table of Weights and Measures

Appendix II - Revised Spelling of Proper Names (showing how the TNIV has improved Hebraic name spellings over the NIV)

While it calls itself a pocket Bible, I doubt you'll actually manage to fit it in your pocket. But it is small enough to easily carry around.

The text font within is readable but a bit smaller than I'd like. I suppose small font is to be expected to some degree with a pocket Bible, though.

Love the convenient size of this Bible, which is small enough to slip into a backpack or purse. The letters are a little tiny though... But I really like this Bible!
