NATAY IS WHAT THE NATIVES NEED HE IS BEAUTIFUL,
By MUSH "JUST ANOTHER NDN CHICK" (OJIBWE NATION, MN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: TNT True Native Thugz (Audio CD)
I FOUND HIS FIRST CD THAT I CANNOT REMEMBER THE NAME OF IN A TINY LITTLE NATIVE SECTION OF CHEAPO RECORDS. I WAS OVERWHIMED WITH HIS WORDS, HIS PASSION AND HIS TALENT. I HAVE BEEN AN ADVOCATE FOR HIM SINCE THEN MAKING ALL MY COUSINS ON THE REZ LISTEN TO HIS CD. NOT ONE PERSON SAID THEY DID NOT LIKE IT AND MOST OF THE GIRLS THOUGHT HE WAS SEXY. HE HAS ALOT TO SAY ABOUT OUR CULTURE AND THE STRUGGLES WE GO THROUGH.

Not just another bad rap album...,
By M'kee Clayton (Ft. Carson CO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: TNT True Native Thugz (Audio CD)
These guys aren't just another Native band trying to hop on the rap bandwagon and just succeeding in scaring the horses, Natay actually has beats and a message. This album takes a straight on view of what it's like to be Native and on the streets, in the city, and actually part of the twenty-first century. When so many people view American Indians as just pages in a history book, or as drunkards and fools, Natay brings home the fact that no, we're here, we're real, and we're very much a part of the world around us. And he does it with style and rhythm, and a musical talent that startles and amazes the listener.
