Terrible waste of time,

I saw the Tobi on TV and was interested but skeptical. I ended up buying a Homedics brand steamer for less money at BestBuy. It works awesome, very impressed with steaming and never looked back at ironing. I wanted a travel steamer but they were hard to find. Picked up a Shark brand and burnt a fuse or something and stopped working after about 3 uses (on a trip). Saw the Tobi portable at Walmart and thought I'd give it a try. Wow, it is the worst, plugged it in and it warmed up just like the box said. Waited for it to be warm and then started to pump the button and attempt to steam. The thing spurted hot water all over the place burning the heck out of my arm, there was a little steam but it really just soaked everything and didn't do a thing for wrinkles at all. Steamers are great, way better then ironing but the Tobi portable is terrible, which makes me glad I was skeptical about their larger unit. It probably doesn't work either. Don't spend you money on this!

I purchased the Tobi from Walmart yesterday. I was excited at using it on my favorite wool winter coat. I read the directions, filled the Tobi with water, and plugged it in. At first it wasn't doing much of anything. I then pressed the steam button and looked, To my surprise, IT HAD BURNED THE COLOR RIGHT OFF MY BEAUTIFUL PINK COAT!! DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!

very unhappy with this, all it did was spit hot water and stain my clothes ! takes a long time to heat up and requires more work than just getting out my old-fashioned iron !

My husband saw the Tobi commercial on TV and it looked like it would do a great job. When he saw the Travel size at Target he thought he would give it a try. He used it this morning, and it was bad. It did get out small wrinkles, but it mostly just made his shirt very wet. He plans on returning it this weekend. Don't buy it!!

Yup, just like the others have said, it spits hot water at you as soon as you pull the trigger. No wonder I got this thing at the local job lots discounter for $15. I will say that after the first couple of uses it seems to improve a bit and it is convenient; I've used it a bunch of times now for quick morning wrinkle releasing. But if I weren't so slow about making returns and missing my 30 day window it would be back on the shelf at the store and I'd already have a standing steamer with some power. Oh well.
