Product Description

Package Quantity: 1

The TOGGLER SNAPTOGGLE BA toggle anchor provides a secure hold from within various hollow materials 3/8" to 3-5/8" thick including gypsum board, drywall, and concrete block, includes 3/16"-24 UNC-threaded bolts, and is made in USA. The anchor channel will not rotate when installing the bolt, whether installing by hand or with a screw gun, and will stay in place if the bolt is removed to facilitate fixture and screw changes. If using bolts other than those supplied, the anchor accepts 3/16"-24 UNC metal bolts with a minimum length equal to the thickness of the item being fastened and the thickness of the mounting material plus 1/2". The SNAPTOGGLE anchor meets Federal Specification FF-B-588-D for Type V anchors.

The anchor consists of a corrosion-resistant zinc-plated steel anchor channel that inserts through a 1/2" drilled hole in walls, ceilings, or floors and installs against the back side of the mounting material; plastic straps attached to the channel that position it into place; and a plastic cap that slides down the straps and presses into the drilled hole firmly to lock the anchor channel in place behind the mounting material. Once the cap is set in place, the straps snap off by hand. The item being fastened affixes to the mounting material by inserting one of the included bolts through the item, into the drilled hole, and through the anchoring channel behind the material and tightening.

Anchors provide reinforcement to a fastener that would otherwise have insufficient hold in substrates such as concrete, brick, stone, drywall, or other materials for a particular application. The fastener may be included with or integrated into the anchor itself, or it may be sold separately. Anchors provide support through various methods, including expansion from within or behind the substrate or even adhesive compounds.

TOGGLER Anchor System manufactures wall anchors and toggle bolts. The company, founded in 1968, is headquartered in Norwalk, CT.

They're very easy to use and install.

Drywall anchors are easy to find and there are plenty of different types out there to use, but horsehair plaster walls are something else totally.

They are intuitive to use, and offer great support for putting up shelves or whatnot in drywall.

I was mounting a fancy safety grab bar to use as a towel bar and only to grab on a real emergency - not to hold on to or pull up on - not ADA certified. One side of the grab bar aligned with a stud, no problem, I used the manufacturer's supplied wood screws. However, the other side only had sheet rock, no way to get to a stud.

I ordered the toggler because they are rated at over 200 pounds in sheet rock. Sheet rock must be in good condition, if it's old and crumbly or wet it will not work, the toggler will pull through. Order the correct size based on the supplied bolts, if you order too big the bolts won't go through the mounting hole in the item you are mounting.

You need a 1/2-inch drill bit, but since you're just drilling sheet rock a 1/2-inch bit with a 3/8-inch shank will do because it just goes right through, even a hand drill will work ans long as the bit is 1/2-inch Dia.

These holes will not 'hide' behind a very small item because of the hole size. Mark locations carefully, once in and locked they cannot be moved around, little, if any, "play."

Drill hole, slip front into hole (see picture on box), align and pull back on long ends, hold both ends with one hand and slide small plastic lock INTO hole (you'll hear it click as you push it along) with the other. Pull ends, push lock INTO hole - it's easier than it sounds, but it's important - only then spread and break off long ends - see picture on box.

I then used a supplied bolt to make sure the toggle was tight and working correctly before doing the next one. If not I ASSUME you could just carefully cut off and remove the plastic stop wall stop and then push the rest into the hole and it would fall behind the wall, then use another one in the same hole or patch.

After trying so many types of wall anchors to use in a "horsehair plaster wall" and having them not work, this product worked better than advertised! Drywall anchors are easy to find and there are plenty of different types out there to use, but horsehair plaster walls are something else totally. Now that I know how they work and how easy they are to install I will never use anything else!! I highly recommend going to the manufactures website and watch the very short but very informative install video.

I first saw these when they were used by the installer of our solar system control panel on our drywall interior garage wall. Really slick. I then found them on Amazon and placed an order. They work just as advertised. Quick and easy with a resulting very strong and secure holding capability. I really like that you can unscrew the bolt entirely out of the wall. This makes it extremely easy to hang an item on the wall when there is only a hole big enough for the bolt end and not the bolt head to pass through. Unlike having to install such an item with a toggle bolt already placed through the hole, you just put up the plastic holder in the wall and then screw in the bolt. Stated differently, with this system you can unbolt an item numerous times from the wall without the toggle part falling into the wall space and therefore forcing you to have to use a new toggle bolt to re-hang the item.

I used 8 of these to mount a new full motion TV mount. One of the guys helping me mount speakers was on a step ladder and tripped. He grabbed the mount as a reflex and fell. His feet never touched the ground. The mounts (in drywall with a 1/4 board behind it) help the heavy TV mount, fully extended out, with a 175lbs man hanging on it.

Nice job guys, nice job.

These are really, really excellent. They are intuitive to use, and offer great support for putting up shelves or whatnot in drywall. They are far far superior to the standard type of drywall toggles you can pick up, or that come with products you purchase which really only succeed in putting larger holes in your wall and failing to secure the screw.

I used these to mount a TV to the wall. There was only one stud to screw into, so for the remaining anchors I used these. Each one holds 200 pounds. So by using 4 of them (and the screws that go directly into the studs) I could have (theoretically) hung a 1,400 pound TV to the wall. So the 35 pound TV went up just fine.

I actually gripped the wall mount with my fingertips and lifted my feet off the ground. These togglers held my weight with no wiggling. They are rock solid.

If you have ever used toggle bolts in the past, these are similar. They are much easier to use though and they will not dimple the wall. The difference is that toggle bolts are V shaped behind the wall and the two points at the top of the V press hard against the inside of the drywall.

These new togglers sit flat behind the wall and do not dimple or mar the wall in any way.

There is a video of how to use these toggler snaptoggles on youtube and maybe here on amazon. Watch the video if you have a few seconds and see how easy these things are to use. They are very very clever.

We have metal studs in our building, and these toggle anchors let us mount heavy items without the hassle of drilling into the metal studs. Pay attention to the weight limits on the package and keep in mind that you do have to make big drill holes (if you're renting, you might not want to do that). They're very easy to use and install.
