Product Description

The TOGGLER SnapSkru SPM Mini self-drilling drywall anchor installs into 3/8"- to 5/8"-thick drywall ceilings and walls without requiring a predrilled hole, includes #6 x 1-1/4" screws, and is made in USA. Its corrosion-resistant glass-filled nylon body installs into drywall with a Phillips driver, a hand drill, or a screw gun. The anchor's positive stop mechanism prevents the anchor from being driven too far into the drywall. Inserting an included screw activates the anchor's jaw, locking the anchor into place and compressing the drywall for a vibration- and shock-resistant hold. The jaws emit a noise when activated, providing audible confirmation that the anchor system has been installed successfully. If using screws other than those supplied, the anchor accepts #6 to #8 size sheet metal screws with a length equal to the thickness of the item being fastened plus 1".

Anchors provide reinforcement to a fastener that would otherwise have insufficient hold in substrates such as concrete, brick, stone, drywall, or other materials for a particular application. The fastener may be included with or integrated into the anchor itself, or it may be sold separately. Anchors provide support through various methods, including expansion from within or behind the substrate or even adhesive compounds.

TOGGLER Anchor System manufactures wall anchors and toggle bolts. The company, founded in 1968, is headquartered in Norwalk, CT.

As a professional CCTV Installer, I will only use these screws on drywall. They compare nothing to the simple anchor and screw kits you can buy at home depot. They lock onto drywall EXTREMELY well and for a 50 piece set at $12 shipped, you can't beat it. The quality is superb.

Worth the slightly higher cost in reduction of frustration and ease of use. With these, you do not need to find the studs in the wall. I have been using these for years, and they are cheaper here than at the big box store. These are the best drywall anchors I have ever used, you can insert them without a pilot hole, they securely mount pretty much anything and I have NEVER had one pull out of the wall. Some examples of what I have used them for:

Mounting a holder on the wall for folding chairs.
Mounting a six foot by three foot mirror on the wall.
Attaching a pull out clothes drying rack (which has wet clothes hanging on it every day).

Buy them, you will NOT be sorry.

This is a great product for light work like pictures, etc but please don't think it's going
to keep you're 50lb Tv on the wall just because of the weight rating on the box.
It will fall! I have fixed a lot of people's mistakes in my line of work for doing that sort of thing.
I don't care what the rating says, they are not true " toggles " and should be used accordingly.. If you use caution and some common sense they are very usefull for many
things around the home. Shears, Drapes, Curtains, small mirrors and as I mentioned before, pictures

These do work very well, but I find a small pilot drill works to give it a better start. I also had one piece fall apart on me after I inserted it in the wall; the end face or the washer like part, just snapped off, and I had one just spinning on the drywall and not going in. This is when I started to use a pilot drill. Since then, I havn't had any problems inserting them, and they do hold the weight I intend for them to hold.

Now I remember why an unopened packet of these has been sitting in my basement, because the first packet destroyed my wall on the last project.

I have tried following the instructions exactly as described on the package, the plastic anchor snapped before all the threads were in the drywall (just over halfway).

After drilling a hole through the plastic and gently pushing it through the hole I ream the hole out a little bit with a 7/32 inch bit. I attempt another one, same thing snaps before all the threads are at the outer edge of drywall.

Based on my experiences I am of the opinion that these are junk. I have used other drywall fastening systems on other projects (the machined screws that go through metal wings and squeeze the drywall) and they worked a charm.

Lastly, these claim to be removable and leave only a 1/4" hole. Bull! Before they snap the threads mushroom the drywall out. Pushing hard, or giving light pressure, doesn't matter.

I was mailed a box which said 50 Anchors and 50 Screws (on a sticker on the front), which Amazon also clearly advertised when I purchased the product. I used a couple of them and realized (when I dumped them out) there weren't many anchors in the box.

When I counted them -- there were 25 anchors and 25 screws. I peeled off the sticker on the box and it says 50 PIECES underneath.

So apparently this company put a sticker on the box over the actual description of what was in the box. The screws themselves work fine but it's rather annoying that I didn't get what I thought I paid for.

These are honestly the best anchors I've ever used. They go in easily and have a high load baring strength.

I struggled for a long time to find something to securely fashion items to the wall of my, shall we say, not recently renovated apartment?

I imagine my slumlord will be pleased that these so cleanly attach to the molding drywall he refuses to replace. Lesser drywall anchors could not do the job even with lighter items. These are the real deal.
