5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!
Both excellent and EASY device for assistance after any operation ...or perhaps for elderly infirmed? Because of its quick portability--company coming who need it?--it has taken much stress off the "person outside" hoping that the "person inside" the bathroom is SAFE. SIX stars for this one!

1.0 out of 5 stars Measurements are not accurate. It is 27 inches wide.
I would like it, but it won't fit in my bathroom. It is 26" tall, 19" deep and 27" wide at the widest point.

5.0 out of 5 stars One style over another, December 19, 2009

After having another style of safety rail in the bathroom used by my mother, I find this one to be more effective in several ways. In regards to santitation issues, this beats the toilet mound style by leaps and bounds. It is stable enough to be used by the elderly as long as the individual has full use of both hands. Otherwise, it would probably tip to one side. Please be cautious regarding this issue. It is easy to assemble but don't rely on directions to assist you. In fact, if you find youself first assembling it backwards, just take it apart and redo a second time. All you will loose is a little time for the mistake. The overall price of this product is relatively small compared to other makes and models so consider this one when shopping around. One last item which is noteworthy is the ease of moving the entire assembly away from the toilet area. Even a light-weight can pick it up since it is so light. Regardless of it's weight, overall, this is a useful, functional item for both the temporarily handicapped to the more permanent.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too large, September 8, 2010

After buying and assembling this product, I found it was more like 29 1/2 inches wide. It appears to be made for a large person and for a bathroom with plenty of space on each side of the toilet. Unfortunately, it wouldn't fit in mine. But I must say that the customer service dept. of Get Organized was most gracious in resolving my complaint to them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Useful Good Price, March 12, 2010

Comes in parts but goes together quickly with a screwdriver. Lightweight but sturdy. Instructions do say to check the screw tightness monthly. It will tip to the side if too much weight is put on one side and not evenly. Works well for a post surgical patient. If used by a very unstable person, recommend weighing the bottom crossbar down with something heavy (the weight of a sandbag or cinderblock). But the price is reasonable and it does help provide the desired support.

Really helped my frail mother remain independent. I think it is much sturdier than the rails that actually attach to the toilet. Well worth the money

My wife and I have trouble sometimes trying to get on and off the toilet because of joint problems. This product takes care of this problem and we don't struggle or have to call for help from each other to get down or up. It has given use self pride, confidence, and dignity back in our lives.

1.0 out of 5 stars measurements are not what is stated in product description, September 1, 2010

Got this product for my parents. We needed a rail that was less than 29 inches in width.....this thing is 30 1/2 inches wide so will not fit in the toilet space between the walls. According to stated measurements, it should have fit. Very disappointed.

Would probably be very useful - IF I could tighten the bolts! I have pliers and a Phillips screwdriver but lack the physical strength required to finish the job.
