I am using this program to help teach a senior gentleman how to read. Most of the activities are simple enough that he can experience success, but there is one where pictures come flying at your windshield and the object is to choose those that begin with the letter indicated. This exercise moves with such speed that even I have trouble catching all the answers, my poor friend ends up with a windshield that is so splattered with errors that he just gives up. Also I tried to print out alphabet/picture cards to help with beginning sounds and both the "G" and "T" would not print. I contacted technical support from the manufacturer and was told there was nothing they could do because this 2007 set of 5 CD'Phonics Success 2007 Deluxe Editions was no longer being published.All in all, it's a pretty good program if you skip the glitches that can't be changed. I couldn't find a revised edition that took care of the errors. |
