I am a high school math teacher and I have only paid careful attention to the Geometry, Algebra II and Trigonometry sections. I found them all to be excellent tutorials.

I know many parents have problems helping their children with their math difficulties and I think this software offers at least a partial solution.

It is really quite good.

This comes with two CDs, one a newer and nice looking set of videos teaching math (e.g. long division, basic algebra), the other an older, low resolution set of lessons and study problems.

The newer lessons are fairly nicely done, but slow, and failed to hold my child's attention. They would be useful if you were home schooling and wanted to walk through math concepts using computer instruction rather than a book, but that's about it.

What really is missing is a lot of fun and challenging quizzes and problems for kids to solve. All that is available is the older product with its rather ugly worksheets and study problems.

The format here is more learning by lecture than learning by example, so this isn't what I was seeking. But, if you supplemented this with hardcopy worksheets, it might have value. Just be aware of what you are getting.

Bought this for my granddaughter and she is very pleased with it. It keeps her attention and she says it's easy to use.

Havent had a math class since 1980. This helped me brush up.Needed help and this helped me and I could go at my own speed.

It's a great idea and the processes they use are designed to keep a student entertained, but there are far too many calculation errors in the program for anyone to successfully learn from it.

I was hoping this would help my son comprehend and practice math concepts that he was struggling with. The subject categories are misleading (what was labeled as pre-algebra is solid algebra I), and the program doesn't offer explanations for test problems that the student solves incorrectly. Not very helpful for teaching, although there are lots of practice problems.

The software was ok but it's lack of exercise for younger kids like my 5th grader daughter. The price for this item is good but it's not advisable for elementaty students but it's good for middle school students.
