Product Description

Model: Kit

The PoE Kit TL-POE200 consists of an injector and a splitter, which are used together to expand your network to where you wish to place network devices but has no power outlet. They can supply 5/9/12V power output and deliver power up to 328.1 feet (100 meters) away. However, they are not 802.3af compliant and cannot be used separately with other 802.3af compliant injectors or splitters.

How It Works

On the input side of the injector, connect the injector to its power adapter and a data source such as a router or a switch. On the output side of the splitter, connect the splitter to a non-PoE network device such as an access point, VoIP phone, or a PoE camera to provide power and data.

Specifications
  • 10/100M Ethernet ports
  • Optional 5/9/12V DC power output
  • Deliver power up to about 328.1 feet(100 meters)
Package Contents
  • PoE Injector and Splitter
  • Power Adapter
  • Power Cord
  • Ethernet Cable
  • User Guide

Customer Reviews

Its very small and can be hidden down line from the equipment closer to a power source.

Plugged in the power and then plugged in the in/out network cables... it powered up a Dahua POE camera just fine.

I use the TP-LINK PoE injector to power both an IP camera and a Cisco phone, and it works well.

This is a POE (Power Over Ethernet) Injector. It adds 48 volt DC to an ethernet cable to power devices that support POE (usually VOIP Phones and some outdoor Wifi Access Points). It includes the white box pictured on amazon.com, a separate power supply, and possibly an ethernet cable (I can't remember).

For some reason, the picture made me think that it would be larger. The actual product is quite small.

I've used this for about a month and it works great.

I was looking for a cheap POE injector for a night vision camera that would be mounted outside. Worked flawlessly. There was some confusion about what this actually does. This unit actually inserts power onto the CAT5e cable. There is another unit that looks identical that actually splits out the power from the CAT5 and makes a non POE device have power available. I have only had the unit for a few weeks but it has worked as advertised.

I bought this to power a camera I already owned that did not have POE capability. This unit is supplied with short ethernet and power cables. Note that the specified operating temperature range (32f to 104f) is not wide enough to allow use in an attic environment. The TL-POE10R works very well in my application.

No complaints on the device itself, it works with no problems.

The AC Adapter it comes with though, oh boy. Could they have designed something worse that still worked? Unlikely. This is one of those brick-style adapters which usually take up 2 spots on a power strip because of their size. This one though takes up 4 spots. Not only does it extend down from the plug by 2 whole additional plug spaces, but it extends up by half a space. Yes, really. Product gets 1 star because of this. Expect to have to buy a new power strip to go with this device.

I purchased the TP-Link L-PoE10R PoE Splitter to power an outside mounted security camera. Previously I was using a proprietary system from d-link that required an injector and splitter running power over spare wires in the cat-5 cable. The TP-Link L-PoE10R takes power directly from my PoE switch using the 802.3af standard. Included all the parts needed in a nice solid box rather than a plastic clam shell that so many other companies use.

TP-Link uses the same part number for this item even though the Version 2 is NOT gigabit and the Version 3 is gigabit. Apparently this listing is for the Version 2 even though there's nothing in the listing that says either way. It would be helpful if the listing at least had the specs. The Version 3 is black, but you wouldn't know that unless you went to the TP-Link site.

I'm sure it works fine, but I sent it back and bought the Trendnet:

The PoE standard has two "modes" -- Mode A where the power comes down pins 1/2 & 3/6, and Mode B where it comes down 4/5 & 7/8. A compliant injector is supposed to supply either Mode A or Mode B power, depending on a device's requirements. In my testing, with a Mode A device this product began to negotiate but never actually supplied power (i.e. constantly blinking LED), and with a Mode B device this product never even tried to negotiate. Both devices were within the current rating of this product. I suspect that this is why many people are reporting "DOA".

Bought a reboxed polycom conference VOIP/SIP phone for my office and didn't want to pay Polycom $100 for their PoE injector....this worked perfectly....just plugged it in and voila....instant power. No hassles, etc.
