I've used this router for the past two weeks and have been very pleased with it. It is robust, relatively easy to use, and reliable. I would not recommend it to anyone who is a complete novice to home networking, but people who feel comfortable with computers and peripherals should not have major problems setting it up and using it.

The WiFi features of this router are outstanding, and I've been able to enjoy fast, reliable WiFi access from anywhere in my house and the surrounding back yard. The WiFi is fast and powerful enough to stream uninterrupted high definition video to multiple devices at the same time. I only wish it would be possible to completely turn off the WiFi without turning off the Internet connection altogether. This would be a useful safety feature when you go on a vacation for instance.

I've used this router with my Acer Aspire AH340-UA230N Home Server and TiVo TCD648250B Series3 HD Digital Media Recorder. It has worked flawlessly with both of them. In particular, it has enabled me to access my home server from various locations away from home. Both upload and download speeds were very good.

One of the least appealing features of this router is its form factor. The multiple antennas may give you some geek cred, but they are not the most sightly thing to see in your home. Some other major wireless router manufacturers have eliminated most of the (visible) antennas in their recent model, and I'd hope that TP-Link may follow suit soon as well.

Overall I have been very satisfied with this router and would recommend it for use in home and small businesses.

Did not buy trough Amazon. PROS: +both bands simultaneously, +Gigabit WAN, +FTP server, +print server * CONS: print server software installation could be more robust. ** This router obviously has some extra oomph. Everything works including printer server (tested this myself on XP and Win7 and OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion) with Canon LBP6000 printer. Make sure you print out a test page with USB printer connected directly to computer before attempting the TP-link software load. The Canon printer installation was confusing because both TP-link and Canon have their own tray icon. Canon utility will report 'Communication Error' which may be irrelevant because the TP-link utility has already successfully inserted itself in between the Canon driver and the printing device. In the case of LBP6000 the Canon printer driver installation fails miserably if computer is not able to communicate with printer during installation process. Hooking up actual physical printing device was a do or die -- but really should not need to be this way. Further aggravating is that the TP-link utility and interceptor will also fail and lock up .. if the wired OEM printer install was not successful. A lot of uninstalls and restarts and power OFF-ON's were made before first wireless printed page came out. Would be better if the TP-link printer server utility installation wizard would offer an alternative 'less user friendly' interface that allows pushing the app and files in, and the let the connection happen later. Ditto for Canon printer driver. In the end everything works. One star lost due to printer software hardship, otherwise very happy with the TL-WDR3600.

Works great. Setup of features needs an advanced user.
Range is standard for routers of this level. My Cisco had range that was a bit better.
