This review is from: THE TRAIL-LEWIS & CLARK EXPEDITION [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Director Robin D. Williams makes films for the travel-film lecture circuit, but don't let that put you off. He is an outstanding cinematographer and story-teller. I saw Williams narrate the film live at El Camino College several years ago and thought there was too much information for a live presentation--but that isn't a problem on VHS, which can be paused, replayed, etc. At 90 minutes or so, the video is much more suitable to classroom time constraints and will hold students' attention better than Ken Burns' four-hour program. Armchair history buffs will also appreciate this fine production.
