I'm not a neat-freak, but I hate it when the profusion of electronics devices I own result in an unsightly rat's nest of cables/wires/cords. I've been remodeling my home office, and have wanted to hide as many of the cables/wires/cords as I can. I also want those cables/wires/cords which are exposed to view to be as unobtrusive as possible. I've owned flatplug extension cords like this in the past, and have always loved the concept. In this case, I have a grounded cord (necessary because of the sensitive electronics plugged into it) that drops straight down to the floor, which I can then tuck under carpet where it meets the baseboard. The fact that the cord for this outlet extension is flat makes tucking it into such tight places, especially around a corner, is a huge, huge plus. Even if you're not as picky about visible wires/cables/cords as I am, I don't think you can go wrong with the purchase of this flatplug extension cord, especially if you've got a couch up against the wall, and can't get it as close to the wall as you'd like, because of a big fat monstrosity of a plug, or transformer.

Great for use in an outlet located behind a large piece of furniture; this flat plug requires less clearance, so the furniture can placed closer to the wall without the danger of bending or damaging traditional lamp, appliance, or extension cords.

Plug does what it says. Well contructed and stays in wall socket. Would buy this item again if need arises.

This plus works exactly as it should. Extremely thin plug and ample sockets make this an ideal power strip to place behind a large item without having the item 3" away from the wall.

I used this plug to power my modem and router which were placed in a central closet. The low profile plug head and ribbon style cord enabled me to run the cord flush against the wall and then under my baseboards to get power into the closet without the cord sticking out into the air and becoming a tripping hazard. Works well, highly recommended if this is similar to your need! Of course, it would also work fine as just a plain jane multi-plug extension cord.

Ordered this item after looking at a heavy duty extension cord for my walk-in closet. The low profile design is great and the cord is thin enough to fit under the door so I don't need to drill a hole in the frame to accommodate the cord. I also didn't notice that it has a 3 outlet strip, so I won't need an additional outlet strip. Really happy with this cord. Highly Recommended.

Just want to add my five star rating to this product. I concur with few other reviews that the plug does not block the other outlets. Also, this is the first extension cord with a plug-out ring that I've seen. This is very handy and prevents pooling the outlet, which is a good safety feature. A note of caution, it is obviously a low power cord, so do not use it with an oven.

Not much to add about the extension cord itself. The cord is very durable and flat and will be more than sufficient for the majority of home users needing a space conscious solution. The 3 outlet extension end is a hardened rubber material. The Pull-out ring on the plug is VERY handy - nay - practically a necessity given how thin the flatplug is. The Pull-out ring is metal but doesn't look like it would take any stress if it was pulled on in any direction other than straight out. Take care when pulling it out from the wall and I doubt there will be any problem at all.

The main concern was would it block the other outlet? Reading the other reviews indicates that it does not and now that I have the unit plugged in, I can confirm that. But could I use it with another flatplug extension cord? I purchased another type of extension cord Coleman Cable 35188801 Flat Plug Extension Cord with 3-Outlet Strip, 12-Foot and both plug into each of the outlets very well without any strain on either cord. I'll be updating this review when I purchase another TRC flatplug extension cord to see if both cords of the same type block each other.

This extension cord is so handy it would be sorta silly not to have a couple extra anyway. :)

Exactly what I was looking for. I needed to plug in a strip behind a credenza and this fit the bill perfectly. The plug is super flat and the strip is durable and feels high quality. I've been using it for a few months with no issues.

This is a great product. It's very hard to fit furniture against a wall if the plug sticks out too far. This allows you to make use of the outlet even if your furniture needs to fit tightly against that wall.
