1.0 out of 5 stars Does not work with my new HP PC
The KVM doesn't work with my new HP DC7100 PC. The keyboard and mouse is not recognized by the BIOS (I can't press F10 to get into the BIOS setup, for instance). I swapped cables/ports/etc. and it is KVM speaking to the HP PC. The KVM works fine with my 8 year old PC. I reflashed the HP PC's BIOS with the latest, no change.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best KVM +audio Yet!, January 11, 2007
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TRENDnet 4-Port PS/2 KVM Switch Kit with Audio (Includes 4x KVM Cables) TK-408K (Blue) (Personal Computers)
I've been using a switch-gizmo to share a mouse, keyboard and video display between boxes for six or seven years. This four-port unit replaced a two-port unit with audio support by another manufacturer. What an improvement! This one gets it's power from the keyboard and is small. It fits on the corner of the desk. Best, I no longer lose connectivity when turning off one box and switching to another, requiring a reboot. And, all the cords are included, making this very economical.

5.0 out of 5 stars Near-perfect 2-port KVM switch, August 1, 2007
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I just received and connected mine up today, and it's pretty much perfect. It's small/compact, includes all cables, and features audio (as well as video, obviously) switching. What more can you ask for in a $27 KVM switch? I've never bought anything by Trendnet before, but the TK-208K gets my highest marks.

I love this thing. Owned it for a couple of years and it works great. Have had some strange keyboard/mouse activity when it is powered by a single Linux box other wise no problems. With three machines (servers ect) connected and running, having one moitor, keyboard and mouse is very nice. Have not used speakers with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Trendnet 4 Port PS/2 KVM Switch w/Audio, April 22, 2009

I have been using the Trendnet 4 port PS/2 KVM for several weeks and I am very satisfied with the way it works and the quality, for the price I paid. It has performed as advertised, I have not experienced any problems to date. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality KVM Switch that includes the necessary cables. Remember you will need approximately an 18-24 inch diameter circle of space for the switch and associated cables when connected.

You can't reflash firmware on this KVM.

Repeated emails to Trendnet customer support were unanswered, so I called their support folks. Plesant enough, but the bottom line was to give me an RMA to return the product to Trendnet with no clear solution.

I guess I need to by a more "robust" KVM.

1.0 out of 5 stars There are better KVM devices out there!, February 9, 2008
I tried this piece of junk to hook up my Windows 98 computer and my Windows XP computer to the same monitor, keyboard and mouse. I could never get a signal on the monitor. Then I bought a similar device from D-Link (item # KVM-121 - 2-Port KVM Switch with Audio) which was cheaper and worked like a charm. Don't waste your money on Trendnet, get the D-link device. You will be much happier.

This review is from: TRENDnet 4-Port PS/2 KVM Switch Kit with Audio (Includes 4x KVM Cables) TK-408K (Blue) (Personal Computers)
This thing was a dream. Comes with all necessary cables and is hot-swapable. Didn't have to turn anything off to make it work. Plus the sound is great.

I purchased this KVM switch to operate my extra computers together all at the same time.
The push buttons are great. Switches between CPU"s "right now" with one push. I like it a lot.

Good value. Fast delivery.
