This is my third unit. TRENDnet POE units are very reliable. No issues after three years.
Works as advertised with a great track record.

Ordered this product via Amazon in June of 2013 to power an external video camera. It worked great out of the box with a clear, and simple, initial setup. There isn't much to the device as one would expect but the external case is clearly labeled for connecting cables/power with a green light on the top face to indicate power to the device. My initial rating for this product is a solid 5 stars as it was affordable, well built, clear setup, and stable during 24/7 use for ~13 months.

UPDATE: The device failed July 15th, 2014. It was setup inside at a constant ~72F and connected to a UPS with surge protection and battery backup as part of a 12U rack in my house. Our external camera just stopped working and after extensive troubleshooting (including several attic trips!) I was able to determine this PoE adapter was the failure point. The green light on the top face still lights up when power is supplied to the adapter yet it is not supplying power to any downstream device. Swapped this TRENDnet PoE adapter out with one borrowed from a friend and downstream PoE devices work fine with the new adapter. So, I am downgrading my review to just 2 stars as I was only able to obtain ~12 months of use from the device. Will search around for an alternative from another vendor. TRENDnet products have worked well for me in the past but, in this instance, the PoE adapter failed and will need to be replaced.

I'm on a mission to reduce the number of things plugged in around the living space of my home. The logical hub of my home network is in our crawlspace and being able to have a wall-wart there instead of in the family room is priceless. It does not seem to have impacted the speed of the network at all (I was concerned when I realized that this was an active component given that there are both 100mbps as well as 10000mbps variants). One now is powering a PoE switch behind the desk that has the printers, TiVos and Xbox and I will soon have another powering a PoE wireless access point.

My office uses Cisco IP phones but I needed to connect mine downstream of a non-Power-over-Ethernet switch. My phone works perfectly after installing this power injector.

I'll note that the power brick is fairly bulky. If you have a power outlet near where you want to use the injector you may end up with some unused cable to tie down.

This POE adapter was purchased to power a remote access point. The location of the access point doesn't have a power outlet. This POE adapter allowed me to mount the access point in a location for best performance. I just plug the POE adapter into the same power source as my network switch. I connected the POE adapter to my network switch with a short cat6 Ethernet cable. Then I ran a Ethernet cable (cat6) from the POE adapter to the remote access point. Both network and power are delivered to the access point. I didn't have to run power. This made my job a lot easier.

Package condition was good.
Shipping was on time.

Like most tech gear that works reliably, there's not much to say. I have used 5 of these in projects over the last year and not one of them has dropped once. It just works.

Does what it's supposed to -- we have it powering a PoE phone. It's a bit bulky, but it's the same as it appears in the pictures.

I bought this injector for my PoE camera. It powers it without any problem. Highly recommend. I wish there was more to say about this adapter, but its probably better to potential buyers that this is one of those install-and-forget kind of products.

These PoE injectors work great! I have several security cameras and instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a PoE switch, I just purchased a few of these and they do the job perfectly. I'd highly recommend these devices. Save yourself some money!

Does what it should and has a good solid feel to it. Only reason for four stars is that there's no way to mount to a wall or bracket. Needs some lugs or eyes so it can be attached to a wall or bracket with screws. Will purchase again, if I'm unable to find something with better mounting provisions.
