It's a great switch for the money, but there are a few minor issues. The biggest problem is that the cursor will sporadically jump up a few inches on the screen. Although you can use the mouse through the switch despite this problem; I've found it annoying enough that I've resorted to having a usb mouse that I switch between the computers when I'm using one for a prolonged period of time. This mouse problem occurs with both of my computers, and several PS/2 mice, on both windows XP and a variety of Linux distrobutions. Subsequently I'm pretty sure that it's an issue internal to the switch and not necessarily a driver/configuration problem. Additionally, I lost all of my special keyboard functionality (user defined buttons), but this is probably to be expected. The only other minor problem I can think of is that right after switching your CAPS/NUM/SCROLL lock lights might not match up to what is actually on. This is probably to be expected with most KVMs though.

As for positives:

First, it's cheap; for under $20USD you can't go wrong. I haven't noticed any loss in picture quality. Besides the problem with the mouse everything worked out of the box (including the mouse wheel). Another nice feature is that it converts your PS/2 mouse and keyboard into a single usb device. This is nice for those people who are short on USB ports. This also means you can use your old PS2 devices on newer computers and laptops which don't have PS2 ports.
