Broke within a week of normal use.

The stand didn't crack at a hinge, nor did my hinges get loose, as some have noted.

I got an iPad for Christmas and immediately bought a Trident cover (love it) and a separately purchased stand that snaps into the back of the cover. The stand's design is a good idea, with two hinged sections that you can adjust just how you want it. But within a month, one of the hinges started getting real loose; and there's a non-adjustable pin holding it all together. The hinge eventually had no resistance to it and just flopped around. It broke clean off at the hinge in February while I was holding my iPad at the top of the stairs, and I watched as it went bouncing in slow motion down the stairway. Luckily, the cover did its job, and there was no damage to my iPad.

I contacted the supplier, Antonline, but they wouldn't consider replacing it. I'm ordering another stand anyway simply because it is the only one made to fit my cover. Hopefully this one wont be a lemon.

I'm not that hard on equipment and I feel this thing broke due to a design flaw. Would not recommend it. I do like the Trident iPad case that this attachment fits.

It will be functional for a while and let you adjust to lots of different angles. After about a month, the plastic wears down and the stand will not hold the ipad in place. Ipad will fall over. Plastic hinges get too loosey goosey.

Very much enjoyed this stand initially, although it was sometimes difficult to find the right tilt. It was tight to get installed, and even worse to uninstall when it snapped off. Not sure if a design flaw or just the way I pulled it out of my bag, and perhaps it got hooked on something. I only had it less than 2 months, but it was used daily. I have not wanted to spend more money to replace it as it is being used only at work with my students and I spent enough of my own money on the case and stand. However, without the stand the Kraken stand is awkward to use. You can not stand it in any direction not will it stay well propped up.

I only had this a couple weeks and picked it up and it cracked and is now unusable. Problem is this is the only stand that comes with the case. I will probably try to find a whole different setup! What a waste of money!

Bought two of these...because the first cracked at the top hinge a week after owning with very minimal use.ordered another, same thing happened, same spot

Emailed trident customer service. Their executive assistant responded....very cold, very rude, very much the rude form letter sent with the promise that someone would send me an RMA # for me to send them the broken stands for a replacement...never happened...thanks trident.

While I love the hard case, the stand on this apparently has the same defect in its construction. Don't get me wrong, it was great while it lasted...just wish it lasted longer than your average common cold.

This is a great stand at first. The link closest to the case is loose after a week of use. The iPad can't be supported by the stand anymore. Trident will not warranty the case if it is not purchased directly from them. So now i'm out some money and have it stuffed in drawer.
