Adorned with official artwork taken directly from the game and boasting a bonus DLC card, the Trigger launches your Halo 4 gaming into the stratosphere.

Separate Game and Voice Volume Controls

If the chatter from your opponent gets distracting and starts to hinder your online gameplay experience, just turn a dial on the in-line audio controller (A) to tune them out. Game volume (B) can also be adjusted on-the-fly so you can drown out your foe's voice but still hear stealthy in-game footsteps creeping up behind you.

Use the integrated headset port (C) to effortlessly connect the Trigger to your controller, and mute/unmute the microphone with the flick of a switch (D).

Precision-Balanced, Amplified 40mm Speakers with Neodymium Magnets

Utilizing the highest quality drivers available for use in commercial headsets - - Neodymium - - high-fidelity game and chat audio is pumped through a pair of amplified 40mm speakers for deep bass and crystal-clear highs.

Includes Everything Needed to Connect to any Xbox 360

Whether your console is legacy or current-gen and connected to a display via HDMI or compone

Flexible Performance Mic

Fixed microphones may not always properly align with your mouth, resulting in decreased sound quality when communicating over Xbox LIVE. Problem solved with the Trigger's flexible solution - - it provides the freedom to bend the mic into a position that's optimal for picking up your voice. The unique design allows the mic to fold up and out of the way when not in use.

Designed for Extreme Comfort

When blasting the Covenant for hours on end, headset comfort is a must. The Trigger delivers with a padded, adjustable headrail - - which extends an extra 1.25 inches on either side to accommodate a wide range of head sizes - - and soft, pliable earcups which swivel to provide a comfortable around-the-neck resting position.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tritton Halo 4 Trigger Stereo Headset Review October 26, 2012
Verified Purchase
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This headset has several great characteristics:

One, this headset has a very long chord between the headset and the Xbox. I connected the headset to one of the two usb ports (located in the FRONT of the Xbox BEHIND the flap at the bottom).

Secondly, the RCA connectors (Red and White) were both input and output. I could have this headset and my speaker system working at the same time, or I could just use this headset alone. I could not directly plug in the headset into my Xbox controller, but by plugging the headset into the the in-line audio controller, the in-line audio controller can then plug into the Xbox controller. The headset comes with a detailed setup guide with multiple options for plugging in the headset with how your sound system is setup.

Thirdly, it fits very comfortably. It covers my ears, and the microphone can be moved to any distance or angle within a couple inches.

Fourthly, I was able to lower and raise the volume of my teammate's voice during matches (as well as lower and raise the volume of the match itself).

Fifthly, the microphone was sensitive and flexible. When I placed it too close, it picked up my light breathing. It is very flexible; when placed at a comfortable angle, it works great.

Lastly, it looks, feels, and weighs like a great durable headset should.

I highly recommend this headset. Highly. Recommend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed October 27, 2012

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This is an updated review, not that anyone will read it as this was a special edition item that I doubt is being made anymore. While this unit worked, it was great and I wasn't disappointed as my first review stated. This item ended up having a very short lifespan for me. On my first headset, the talk feature crapped out where I could hear everything just fine, but my microphone would not work. Fortunately it was under warranty and so I sent it back and received a new one. Well this new one, while lasting longer than the first, had the same talk issue eventually. Since the headset was no longer under warranty, I guess I am stuck with a product that only half works.
I thought I was upgrading my Turtle Beach x11s (which were still going strong after almost two years and I sold unfortunately) to a very cool Halo 4 headset. Big mistake. I will not be purchasing any more Tritton or Mad Catz products nor would I recommend them after this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy with this headset November 5, 2012

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I've been looking to replace my old shitty headset for a while now and I could not pass these up for $50 and one of the best designs I've seen on a headset. Now I play console and pc games so I was concerned about whether or not this would work on my computer. After buying $10.00 worth of cables, it works like a charm. If you want this thing working on your computer you will need a 3.5mm male to male cable along with an RCA to 3.5mm cable. It's a pretty simple setup and the sound quality and microphone clarity are superb. If you need help setting this up on the pc, leave a comment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sounds good, but gets uncomfortable fast November 10, 2012
I picked up this headset when I got my Halo 4 xbox because the mic on my Turtle Beach headset had gone out, and I figured it couldn't hurt to have MORE halo swag. My initial impression of the headset was very good - good sound, strong bass (though the Turtle Beach has better), and a very clear chat functionality (BETTER than Turtle Beach's) - but my joy quickly turned to ash. The speakers on the set are just too small, so the pads sit directly on my ears; I can't play for more than an hour without becoming incredibly distracted by the discomfort my ears were going through. It's entirely possible that I just have larger ears than most (I'm a pretty big guy all around), but this is a problem I've never had with any other headset model I've used. So, all in all, good headset if you only play video games for short periods at a time. *nods*

4.0 out of 5 stars Ok, but a bit small November 3, 2012

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Generally speaking I have enjoyed the headphones, they are very well cushioned and are very sturdy. However there are two things with the headphones that I have a slight issue with. The first issue is that when you have the headset connected with a controller that is using a charging cable, a buzzing noise can be heard. Furthermore the headphones are just slightly too small for my ears which can be a pain when trying to get them to fit just right on my head. Beyond that for the money that are a decent pair of headphones but if you have slightly bigger ears, like me, you might want to avoid them.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's just okay December 22, 2012

It does the job it was intended to do, but it seems a bit small, like it was designed to fit a youth sized head. Sound quality is pretty alright, but the cords get in the way.

2.0 out of 5 stars Average December 7, 2012

The sound quality is average
The headset as a whole is uncomfortable
Amazons shipping service was excellent, but you are better off in investing for a better product. Invest in a wireless headset.

4.0 out of 5 stars Look Great, Sound Great, Can get a little uncomfortable November 26, 2012
Verified Purchase
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
So these headphones look pretty awesome, they feel durable and I do think they will stand the test of time even though I've only had them for about 3 weeks. The sound is really pretty great with a crystal clear mid and high range and nice deep lows. You can precisely pick up where other people are in the game compared to your location in most first person shooters. The microphone and chat volume levels are a little touching, but once you zero in on the proper volume levels it works just fine. I wish you could hear yourself in the headphone, but unfortunately you can't. I would say for general chatting these headphones are very mediocre but are most definitely an improvement over the headphones that come with the Xbox.

If I had one real complaint with the headphones it would have to be the size. They are just a fraction too small to fit comfortable for extended periods. I can usually only leave these headphones on for about an hour. Initially when I put them on they fit snuggly but are rather comfortable, but it wears on you after a while and I find myself pulling them off in between games and then putting them back on when the next game starts.

I got these headphones for $36 so they didn't have much they had to live up to, but if you're take your gaming really seriously and or have a much larger budget you'll want adjust your headphone search accordingly. However, if you've never owned gaming headphones before and you want to see what its all about, these will do the trick.
