In the tradition of TRON,

First off, there has been much confusion from lack of information on the web between this game and TRON 2.0. Well, I'm here to let you know- Tron 2.0 and Tron 2.0 Killer App are the same game. The differane being that Killer App has many extra fewatures available for the xbox including more multiplayer options, and of course XBOX Live.
Now, about the game. First off, the story is wonderful. It picks up modern day and continues the storyline from the origional TRON movie. Throughout the game, you slowly unfold the story of what has occurred during the intervening years. Much fun. Graphics. Nice. Not fancy, but the idea is that it is still essentially the TRON universe, just updated a bit. The result being about what you'd expect. Gameplay. Interesting. A little awkward with the upgrades, and annoyingly must be adjusted level by level. You can save at most points except during lightcycle races, which doesn't sound so bad, but when you meant to save right before the race and you don't and you want to go to bed or something- well, it gets annoying. Lots of weapons which are fun to play around with. There are 4 basic weapons each with 2-3 upgrades. Smooth gameplay otherwise. The only significant annoyance is the sound, which please see below. There are also one or two glitches. Also, the objectives list to occasionally check is completely unreadable. Completely. I could vaguely make out smudges in the shape of letters. It's probably readable except that the contrast of the letters against a similarly colored background (which is a green box which the objective is printed on) makes awful illegability Sound. Okay, the voices are pretty low. Annoying at first, it gets increasingly irritating as occasionally you actually don't know what to do because you can't hear what you were told to do. Music and sounds effects are wonderful though, and fans of the movie will recognise many of the sound effects. Overall. If you like Halo and other first person shooters, you'll like this. This also has the advantage that many people don't like blood- no blood here! Merely derezolution. It usually isn't too difficult to figure out where to go and what to do, and little need to worry about getting lost. Also, for those of you who are sick and tired of beating a game the first night you get it you probably don't need to worry about this. TRON 2.0 Killer App is a very long game, so while you pay a lot of money for it (as with most games these days) the game is so massive, so many multiplayer options (aside form the xbox live) that you actually feel like you get your money for it. And that's a nice change.

Did Disney really make this?,

Tron 2.0 is a great example why Disney should stick to what they do best, and that's making great movies and cartoons. Tron 2.0 is way off the mark in terms of a fun experience on the Xbox. Tron 2.0 has nothing great going for it.

All in all Tron is average. Nothing to write home about, the game looks ok in places, all be it in an average sort of way. The style is high contrast looking, this may work in photos on the XBOX DVD cover, although in game all becomes a mass on confusion. The design will leave you thinking you yourself could have done much better. There appears to be a total lack of sense of any real thought gone into the game. The music is the best aspect of Tron 2.0

What's Tron without Jeff Bridges i ask, lacking that's what!
Fans of the original film will remember lots of red and blue going on. In Tron 2.0 there's lots of orange and green? What's with the green? Is it an Xbox thing? Cos if it is, it don't work. As an Xbox FPS Tron 2.0 truly sucks. The game relies on constant trial and error which bothered me no end. The weapons are pointless too, the discs are the only weapons of any real use. Do yourself a favour, rent Tron the film on DVD and buy Halo 2 the game.

As a big fan of Tron the movie I had high hopes for this Xbox title. Sadly I feel slightly let down. The look of the movie don't really work in a game environment. It is very difficult to judge where the playing area is, where the player can go and where the player cannot go. There are leaps of faith all over the place, leading to frustration to set in early on. Compare Tron 20 to the mega Halo and you'll be left laughing. The audio is the only area that of Tron 20 that I quite liked.
If you are looking for an Xbox game that features lots of weapons and intense action packed game play, then Tron 20 simply isn't the place to go.

Reading the other customer reviews here and their 5 star ratings has left me wondering if I have been playing the same game as they have, as my version of Tron is no match for the likes of Halo or Doom. Tron 2.0 is a mish mash of bad ideas. Some people may well like the way Tron looks, not me though. Even the sound did not make my ears smile.
Tron 2.0 is a bad buy for your Xbox without doubt

Hey Junet Parker nice job copying the ign review word for word and turning everything they said into negatives. im really tired of all this halo 2 sweating. sure its gonna be good we already know that. doesnt mean you have to bash all the other games that came out. Tron 2.0 is an awesome game, ive played it for pc more than 3 times, still play multiplayer to this day, and i am getting the XBox version, oh and BTW that review that Junet Parker ripped off was a 7.9 out of 10 so the game is obvoiusly doing something right. but for future reference just please come up with your own review, from actually PLAYING the game. not from just reading a review for a game you probably never even heard of, and making it negative because that is just ignorant.

Tron 2.0 Killer App is a port of the PC, but has some awesome bonus levels(light cycling levels) as well as XBOX LIVE (which unfortunately no one plays). This is a really fun game from a FPS,Vehicliar Light Cycles and some puzzles (but not as deep as the PC version). I love both the PC and the Xbox version so I am not biased about where it's played, it just is a great game that should be played by anyone who is a fan of Tron or FPS games. A MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEDED GAME!!

After playing Tron 2.0 I was left wondering if the designers had actually ever sat through the original Tron movie. Why do the light-cycles have wheels the size of monster trucks?

Playing Tron 2.0 Killer App. takes me back to my Playstation days as the game looks very basic, possibly made in a hurry and lacks polish. While playing it there is a constant feeling of nothing really going on. Not exactly the hottest Xbox game available at the moment. Weighing the situation up, there are many many superior Xbox games available. Big thumbs down for Tron 2.0 Killer App. Better luck next time Disney.
