"T for Toy", S. Kennedy Tosten's second book in the "Troy's Amazing Universe" series is a terrific tale for readers young and old. Tosten turns a `fearful-for-Troy' first time away from home visit with cousins into an adventure with a moving snowman, an uncle who invents fabulous toys, spies, kidnappers, and shoes that fly.
The author has taken two traumatic events; a new brother or sister and the first away from home visit and penned a narrative that will rivet readers to the tale. "Troy's Amazing Universe" stories beg to be read and reread; "T for Toy" is just such a book. Using authentic dialogue, realistic multi-dimensional characters and action-oriented plots, S. Kennedy Tosten presents us with a series that highlights the perfection of our imperfections. Young readers will easily identify with Troy and he will become a friend they look forward to meeting again and again. "Troy's Amazing Universe" series belongs in every library. If you are looking for a perfect book for that young reader you know, "T for Toy" is a perfect choice. I recently read "A for Alien" third book in this wonderful series. I eagerly await book four.
