5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, February 18, 2008

This product is amazing! I would also recommend the "Weed Hound" which is also a Hound Dog product. These tools are very well made, this one makes gardening so much easier. You can rotatill your garden by hand with this tool, and it is very easy to use, and doesn't take much muscle. Great for making the ground soft and ready for planting, also good for mixing in fertilizer and compost, and if you want to weed large patches, this would do the trick. Would buy it again, no hesitation!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made, great for small jobs, September 23, 2009
This review is from: AMES TRUETEMPER HDP12-8 STANDUP TILLER HOUND DOG
This manual tiller works quite well. It's well made and should last for years. We have lots of rocks in our soil and that made it difficult but I was still able to get the job done. It's easy to use in flowerbeds where you wouldn't dare take a gasoline-powered tiller. You can also use it to aerate your yard and it works ok for small areas. I would highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Garden Claw - Hound Dog - Garden Work Made Easy, March 14, 2011

This review is from: AMES TRUETEMPER HDP12-8 STANDUP TILLER HOUND DOG
I bought this tiller last weekend when attempting to re-seed my lawn, a 18' x 16' plot. This little guy really tore it up. It performed beautifully and it has an amazing construction. It is very sturdy and it took care of mostly clay soil with ease (following a good rain storm last week). Well worth the purchase and was an alternative for me from renting a roto-tiller at a local equipment rental store.

The only thing I wish was that it were larger and covered more surface area with each plunge into the soil. I stand at 6'5" or so and I found myself bent over for a couple of hours. I did all this work yesterday and my back and hands are still feeling it. I would have felt much more, had I used just a shovel alone.

If your working in a garden or just a small area your looking to plant, this is the tool for you. It will last many years and the value will pay for itself in time and save a lot of time.

Take a chance, it's a great product.
