I loved using my TRX system in Afghanistan, but returning to the US, I wondered how I would best use it in my apartment. Enter the Door Anchor. Placed outside an entry way door, it gives an anchor point for using the TRX that will allow you to still get your rental deposit back after months of working out.

Additionally, the folks at TRX have gone above and beyond. Although I lock my door to prevent anyone from entering when I am home, they have included a door hanger for those of you who can't lock your door, or risk having another keyholder enter. If you have used your TRX outside, be prepared to shorten it up significantly to use it with the door anchor.

Warning: Do not attempt to use this on a hollow-core inside door. It(the door) may hold you for a while, but eventually you risk irrepairable damage to your door. If you must use an inside door, ensure that it is a solid core door.

I bought one of these for my husband after having a training session with it in our gym. Then I bought a couple of my kids one for Christmas. These contraptions are fun, transportable, effective, and versatile. It is a great way to increase your options for how and when you can do strength training.

This door mount actually works as advertised but it, to my mind, is overpriced for what it is.

So the door anchor works for what it is but be warned that it works best if it going with the direction of the door closing not against it. It also works best with solid core doors as the hollow interior doors mays become damaged. An alternative I found is to buy an Iron Gym pullup bar. You can then anchor the TRX to that with no stress to the door itself. You also then can add pull-ups and dips to your TRX workout and kill two birds with one stone.

I love this door anchor. It looks cool, doesn't damage doors, and is rock solid. I have actually bought two of these that I use for mounting things besides my TRX, such as neck stretching tools. Another product that I use in conjunction with the TRX door anchor is:

This works well but the loop is too small to use with resistance bands that with handles.
I guess it is designed for snap on resistance bands
