This is a great dispenser! It holds a lot & yet is fairly small space wise. It's great for all kinds of snacks...pistachios, almonds, m&m's etc., it's great if you want portion control but also great if don't! You can spin once or keep spinning til your happy :-) we do put a little bowl underneath it to catch the almond salt & we did that for pistachio's also (we bought black so it looks messy if you don't) but that also works good for taking the bowl to the couch ;-) I'm not sure if we'll need the bowl for things like m&m's (we'll see) but overall, we are very satisfied! Oh yea, it also comes apart nicely for cleaning!!

I completely gutted my house here in Arizona and remodeled it from top to bottom (3900 sqf) including the kitchen with granite countertops and nice cabinets, and a large pantry.
I decided to buy EVERYTHING new for my entire house, and after carefully making my wish list and reading reviews, I spent a few thousand $ on AMAZON buying accessories for my new kitchen. This is one of the favorite accessories I have bought so far. It works exactly as expected. You turn the knob like a gumball machine and cereal falls in your bowl. Use the right bowls and you will always be happy. It's flimsly plastic, but it looks to be engineered well, with no parts subject to breaking if used as intended. It seals well enough. I bought three of these for cereal, and intend to buy more. I filled them with Fruity Pebbles, Cocoa Puffs, and Raisin Bran, all which have different textures and all came out well. I got the right amount of raisins, and the bran flakes and others were just like if they had come out of the box. It's not a showpiece by any means, but mine are tucked away neatly in my walk in pantry, and look great in there. My pantry shelves are 16" high, and these are 12" high, so it works out just fine. They are aligned next to each other and look very nice. My goal with my purchases is to automate/semi automate my life, and this helps that process. Instead of having to get a box of cereal out, pour it, and replace the box, I simply turn the knob til I get the amount I want. I can see thru the clear plastic how much cereal I have left, as opposed to picking up a box on the shelf to find it's empty, just after you did your weekly shopping. I haven't tried it for candies or nuts, but plan to, and see no reason why it wouldn't work as well as it does for cereal. I'm not going to say this is the one you should buy, as I have not tried others, but it works perfectly for my needs. Good luck in your shopping ventures!

I guess I have no idea how to translate 17 1/2 oz into a visual picture. I thought that this sucker would be too big for our counter, but when it arrived I was shocked at how small it was. So small in fact that it kind of looks funny and I'll probably have to order another one just to make the cereal display effect look right. I uploaded a picture of it next to a 2 liter bottle, licorice bucket, and some bananas. Holds pretty much 1 box of cereal give or take a bowl. So far 1 week in and I would say it is a good product. $15 seems kind of too much for a hunk of plastic, but what choice do I have. When that's what everyone else is willing to pay then it must be the fair price right?
I don't think this thing can handle big cereal items like Shredded Wheat, keep it small like Trix or Honey Smacks and you should be good. 2115|R2OLT82W4L3Z8P;2115|R1DMYDRXDWQ0K0;2115|RY53RUJROMIC5;
