5.0 out of 5 stars Stylish and walkable
I usually wear a 9.5-10, but Tsubo runs a bit long and wide, so the 9 fits perfectly. However, these shoes work well with narrow feet because the velcro strap across the ankle really holds your foot and keeps it from slipping like so many uncomfortable women's heeled shoes. 1.0 out of 5 stars Unwearable for me.
I love the look of these shoes and I have other Tsubos which are really great. I wear a size 8 and have a narrow foot. When I tried these in the store I was really impressed. However I tried them on my feet, bare. When I tried to wear them with lights, or sox I found that my foot slipped down and the edge of the front was unbearable. The heel gives you quite a bit of height without sacrificing style. I especially love how the leather around the back of the ankle is seperate from the sole itself, so that the shoe flexes instead of your ankle slipping up and down the back of the shoe. The last great bit is the slightly rounded toe, so that your toes never touch the front of the shoe. I can't work in these if I plan to walk to lunch at work, but they are great short-term shoes.

However I tried them on my feet, bare. When I tried to wear them with lights, or sox I found that my foot slipped down and the edge of the front was unbearable. I have not found a way to wear them, and I didn't return them, so next I will try to take them to the shoe repair and insert a pad to put my foot back further.

2.0 out of 5 stars I was hopeful!!! My feet hurt., October 14, 2008
This review is from: TSUBO Women's Acrea Pump (Apparel)
I was really hopeful after reading the reviews for this shoe. I've flat feet and bunions, but was looking for something that looked stylish to wear. I bought the shoe with guarded hopes and wore them around the house for several days. Each time I took them off was a relief. I can't imagine what going outside might have felt like. I wish they would have worked for me, but they did not. I found them to run about a 1/2 size large.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE this shoe! Not happy with the dark red version, July 9, 2008

I wanted to invest in a few solidly made pair of shoes. I purchased two pair of Acrea: black & dark red. If I could give them six stars on comfort, I would. I can wear them all day at work and well into the evening, which is huge with my fallen arches and arthritis. They feel like tennis shoes. I also have narrow feet but didn't have the problem the other reviewer had. As with any shoe, I guess you must try them and see.

The red Acrea's color was blotchy when they arrived like the dye didn't take evenly. They immediately started to discolor/lighten, show even the slightest scuffs (from carpeted stairs, etc) and look like older worn out shoes. This is big disappointment when you spend $130 on shoes.

I love them and receive many comments from strangers on the street, just beware with the lighter colors.

One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. From the first moment I slipped them on, they fit like a glove. Being on the sales floor, these shoes kept my feet refreshed and comfortable, not to mention the unique, but fashionable styling. I look forward to exploring other Tsubo footwear.

I am so pleased with this stylish and comfortable shoe. The photo doesn't really do them justice; the "Black Charade" leather looks great. The hidden platform makes this shoe much more wearable than a typical 3+ inch heel and the leather insole is well-padded. I know I'll get a lot of use from these pumps.

5.0 out of 5 stars high quality shoe, September 1, 2010
This review is from: TSUBO Women's Acrea Pump (Apparel)
never had heard of tsubo befoe, but was intrigued with the design and the odd color combination of tan and orange. did not expect much in terms of fit and workmanship, and --- what a surprise! this belongs to one of the best made and most comfortable shoes that I have come across. the right shoe is a tid bit too large, but with the swelling of the feet in the summer, and the velcro strap across, it is no problem. the footbed is fantastic. they don't make noise, they really add height and be walkable at the same time. i'd think they rank with or above sofft shoes in terms of comfort. got mine for 44 bucks.

I purchased this shoe in Nude, size 7 (my usual size.) They are incredibly comfortable and didn't need to be broken in. I wore them the whole day, without socks, and didn't get any blisters. I received many compliments - I especially like the woven heel. They fit true-to-size. I am impressed with this shoe, and will probably purchase more Tsubos in the future. At the reduced price, this is a great deal.

To get these for the price I did: $24.XX. At that price, an incredible steal. I got them in brown, size 8. I normally wear 8.5 but I actually found these to fit perfectly in a size 8. They were a little wide for me having a medium width foot. But they were very comfortable in general. I did not walk a long distance in them and only stood for about 15 minutes, but they were definitely good for that long! I recommend these shoes...they are fantastic! I look forward to wearing mine more :)

5.0 out of 5 stars The most comfortable pumps I've ever owned!, September 5, 2008

I was very unsure of ordering these shoes at first. I have such odd shaped feet that are hard to find shoes for. My feet are both wide and I have a very high arch. I had just about given up on finding comfortable, stylish pumps. While reading reviews on the Acrea Pump I came across the amazing deal Amazon has on these shoes. I figured it was worth it to pay around $50 for them. After all, they were going close to that on different auction sites.
The shoes arrived in perfect condition and I've hardly taken them off since! I've worn them to work, out shopping and just around the house. I just can't believe how comfortable they are. The velcro strap allows the wearer to adjust the width of the shoe. My wide feet fit perfectly, but my sister in law, who wears the same shoe size, but has a narrow foot, tried them on and fit them to her width as well. As noted in another review, the shoes do run a tad big.
Fantastic shoe and I plan on ordering one pair in each color!
