This is a great replacement for the original window mount.
If you are worried about marks on your windshield and fear of your GPS being stolen, this is the product to get.
Nicely weighted and easy to use this mount allows you to put the GPS where every you want on your dashboard and with the other adjustments makes it easier to see.
I love it

I and my wife have two cars, one Camry and one Accord. The mount fits either of them very well.

I drive the car from TX to CA for around 1800 miles. The car speed is from 0-85 MPH. No matter what situation, the mount stands firmly on the car.

Unit works well, holds Tom Tom securely. It is a bit bulky, though and hard to find a place to store it when not in-use.

Just what we needed to hold our GPS on the dash. Standard mount was useless - kept popping off onto the floor.

works great, it holds the tom tom with no problems and it does not move.I had previous problems with the windshield mount that came with the tom tom but this is a major upgrade.

We just returned from a 2500 mile road trip and used the Tom Tom GPS the whole trip. It was just the right size and weight to be stable the entire trip. When I left the vehicle for any length of time I just grabbed the whole unit and placed it on the floor out of site. Very safe to use and the swivel head was a real plus. I highly recommend this item to anyone who has a GPS and doesn't want the suction cup blocking your view of the road ahead.

I was very excited about this item. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the reviews. I received it and immediately attempted to mount my Tom Tom. The suction base does not stay in place. Every three days or so I would walk out to my car and find the base as well as my GPS on the floor. The stand would not adhere to the base for long periods of time. Also, while mounted the GPS's weight would cause the "stand" to tilt down and become hard to read. I was very disappointed in this purchase.

I purchased this and used it very little, it mostly sat inside the center console of my van. When I did use it I noticed the my GPS sagged quite a bit. When I tried to raise it chunks of plastic fell off of the stand.

[update]I tried to repair the stand and the rest of the plastic holding the bolt that keeps the arm on the base crumbled. It is totally useless now.

THIS CONTRAPTION SITS ON MY DASHBOARD ( HONDA ACCORD LX 2004 ) AND DOES WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO. DOES NOT MOVE. AND I DO NOT USE THE LITTLE BRACKET THAT GLUES TO THE DASH. I HAVE NOT YET DONE THE HIGH SPEED POLICE CHASE BUT I SUSPECT IT WILL WORK FOR THAT TOO.

This product is very easy to use and I have had it for two months! The only small problem that I encountered is that it doesn't fit in my dash board and I have a Nissan pathfinder! But it will stick to other areas so it works fine in those areas!
