Through the Eyes of an Artist...,
By H. Festus (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: TURQUOISE AND OBSIDIAN: 14 STORIES (Paperback)
Moving stories, I laughed softly to myself, I cried. Subtle and nuanced, yet at the same time bold and provacative. I want more!!!

14 stories - 14 joys!,
This review is from: TURQUOISE AND OBSIDIAN: 14 STORIES (Paperback)
Do you ever say to yourself, "I need to stop and smell the roses?" - well if so, Turquoise and Obsidian is the rose you must smell.
Each of Moore's stories is a joy to read and a treasure to ponder. Its like a breath of fresh air - and being back to nature. These are great summer reads, at the cottage, in a arm chair...or propped up in bed by pillows...no matter where you are, these stories are truly wonderful! 10 out of 10!!!

This review is from: TURQUOISE AND OBSIDIAN: 14 STORIES (Paperback)
A collection of rich, organic stories tied to the Earth. She's the Eudora Welty of the Southwest. Pithy and to the point--- a great observer of the human condition. Also by Jo Moore---ADOBE DREAMS;THE ANGLO;OTHER OBSESSIONS

Makes me want a Margarita!,
By Tom O'Malley (Brooklyn, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: TURQUOISE AND OBSIDIAN: 14 STORIES (Paperback)
These are meaningful, thought-provoking stories with staying power. Wise Old Timers who have lived their lives and have a story to tell---to over-indulged Daddy's girls who haven't got a clue. The southwestern setting makes me want Margaritas and Enchiladas smothered in green chili, or red, I can't decide!!! I just want to go back to Santa Fe and take it all in.
