a pretty good title however "Pistols and Petticoats" are in black and white. this tv show was originally filmed in color and broadcasted in color but the episodes in this dvd set are black and white. The video quality fair to good.

Pistols 'n Petticoats, February 3, 2010

Had to dig deep to find this TV Western Comedy Classic-Glad to have it among my collection.
Stars the talents veteran actors and actresses;(the late; Ann Sheridan,Ruth McDevitt,Douglas Fowler and Gary Vinton)Gary Vinton also starred on McHale's Navy, before starring in Pistols 'n Petticoats.Kinda Wonder, had the show's lead star(the late Ann Sheridan) had not died suddenly toward the end of that first season-whether the show would've continued?

Why not the entire Series???, December 14, 2011
This review is from: TV Classic Westerns V.6: Frontier Doctor / Pistols 'n Petticoats (DVD)
"Pistols 'N' Petticoats" was extremely popular in Germany ( see more below). I laughed tears whenever I watched a new episode :)!
I also enjoyed "Checkmate", although I liked "Honey West" and "Bourbon Street" even more. Then there was "M Squad" which was almost as good as "The Detectives" (Robert Taylor) and I never missed an episode. At school everybody talked about "M Squad" and "The Detectives" on the next day. I think there is a large Baby Boomer potential for selling/releasing more of these classic TV series.
Many of those who loved the "Lassie", "Flipper", "Fury" and "Gentle Ben" TV series in their childhood also liked "Kentucky Jones" (Dennis Weaver) and "The Farmer's Daughter" (Inger Stevens). I wish these two wonderful old TV series and many others like "A Man called Shenandoah" (Robert Horton), "Hank" (Dick Kallman), "He and She" (Paula Prentiss), "The Magic Boomerang", "The Greatest Show on Earth" (Jack Palance) would finally be released on DVD.
BTW at amazon.de there is a new DVD set with 17 "Pistols 'N' Petticoats" episodes available. But I still don't understand why the fans cannot have the complete series?
What is this nonsense of only releasing a few episodes (like with "Maverick" and "Wagon Train") anyway???
