I received these glasses today and was disapointed right away. The picture of the glasses shown on Amazon are not what I received. What I got was completly dark glasses with small round holes cut across each lens. They hurt to wear after a half hour of use and the holes were impossible to ignore while watching a movie. The 3D effect was minimal to non-existant. Over all I was not satisfied with this product and would not recommend it.

Another $25 i'll never see again! 3D... Not even close, plus you get this weird feeling as if you're watching TV through 16 different peep holes. Eyes getting tired in 10 min.

#1 - If you believe the statements about this product, you are destined to get ripped off repeatedly throughout your life.

#2 - Of course they don't work. Those who say they DO work... well... how do you do that sneeze(or cough)-while-saying-bullship trick in text? I used them at a trade show and of course they did NOT work at all. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get 3-D from lenses with holes punched in them. Just like it's impossible to make any body part grow with a pill or cream, just like it's impossible to look like a bodybuilder with a pill and no exercise.

#3 - Why would you throw them away? The product info here says "Guaranteed to work or your money back!" No time limit is specified. Contact Amazon. It seems that overlooking the obvious is a "theme" in the "reviews" here.

Bull on the advertising claim. This was a complete waste of money and I hate to say they are now sitting in a landfill somewhere.

The glasses don't work and are a financial ripoff. Don't waste your money like I did. I threw mine away as it was worthless and taking up room in my house.

Nobody needs glasses like this to get 3D from regular TV. (Yes, I am a scientist.)

Just put a single pinhole in a piece of cardboard or some other material that can block off light and cover your fireld of visiton from one eye, and place it over the dominant eye*, (make sure to look through the hole, do I really have to tell people this?) Leave the other eye unaided, yes it is okay to be wearing contact lenses. The 3D you get from this has to do with 'depth of focus'. It is not drastic like you get in the theatre, so don't expect something to come out of the screen at you, but it should appear as if the TV is a box and the scenes are inside the box in 3D. I do this form time to time and have done so for decades. Black and White movies get the most effect I find. (I am told it si quite effective for sporting events on TV as well.) I sometimes do this in the movie theatre with a 2D movie and get good results. I was interested in these glasses to make it easier, but it sayes that they are "currently unavaiable". I will stick to the safety glasses I have covered the left eye (my dominant eye*) with paint and have carefully scratched a single pinhole into the center. they work fine, but looks a bit 'homemade', like glasses for a pirate.

So it is possible these do work, but I don't see the need for multiple holes on both eyes. Perhaps popping out one lense is a good idea if you don't get them to work. Good luck, and enjoy your 3D movies from a 2D source!

*To find your dominant eye, (don't think about it) just point at a something and hold still, then try closing one eye and then the other. The eye you have open when you see your finger pointing directly at the object is the dominant eye in most cases. If you find your finger pointing equally to each side as you try each eye closed, then you don't have a dominant eye and it should not matter which one has the pinhole.

Nowhere in these reviews do I see instructions. So I thought I'd send some. The idea behind these glasses are that you look thru the holes in the glasses to watch the movie, not the lenses themselves. Once you get used to looking thru the holes, everything falls in place and the movie is actually amazing. These glasses were actually invented for helping people with bad eyesight improve their vision and hopefully end the need for corrective lenses. They did work to a point and did help many to stop wearing glasses, especially when they only had weak eyes to begin with. The idea was great, but it was supposed to be used while reading prepared script and practice lessons. I found this special 3D effect many years ago while trying to watch TV while doing my eye exercises. I still have the original glasses but they are quite scratched, and I bought new ones. However I now have real 3D, but use these when I watch regular DVD's. I hope this helps those looking or those that have bad feelings that didn't understand the concept.

I can't say that these glasses can let you look like IMAX or 3D movies at the theater, but it's a funny way to let you feel some kind of 3D viewing any 2D movies without any converter! Of course, you must read the instructions and try it until you get its optical effect!

these glasses give you a picture with real dept
Do not expect things to jump out at you only movies made in3d can do that
I will admit the glasses take some time to get used to
However when you use them they are fine
Good item for the low price
The glasses are also well made
I like them

I pulled my original review since so many don't dig the glasses. Well I'm still diggin them and use them whenever I watch movies. Once you get use to the holes the 3d really does come through for me. Works awesome with a HD set as well. A great idea, and still alot of fun for me. I normally wear contacts and glasses. With these 3 D glasses I need neither on account for me looking through thoses holes corrects my vision: and now I enjoy them even more. SELLER, get a hold of Amazon: I WANT TO BY SOME MORE FOR BACK UP. For me, until something better and affordable appears on the market, these will do just fine.
