classic,
This review is from: M*A*S*H TV Season 2 (DVD)
It's a classic series with a long-lost, intelligent sense of humor not seen on TV these days. It was relevant then and still is now. It was a series with a social conscious. The DVD delivers quality better than I remember on the TV of old. Not much to say other than that. I'm still buying a season or so at a time until I collect them all.
I will say that Amazon's DVD packaging is horrible these days. When I first started buying the series over a year ago, it came in a box. Now it comes in a padded envelope! That's nuts! I have returned many, many DVDs lately because they come crushed, the inner plastic holders broken, and the DVDs scratched. No matter what DVD you buy from them now, if it comes in an envelope - check it out immediately and return it if damaged. They pay the return postage and send you another one free of charge.

WELCOME BACK TO THE 4077,
This review is from: M*A*S*H TV Season 2 (DVD)
Season two includes the following episodes:
"DIVIDED WE STAND" Threatened with possible reassignment, the 4077 presonnel try to impress a psychiatrist, only to revert to their usual behavior shortly after his arrival. "FIVE O'CLOCK CHARLIE" The errant bombings of a misguided North Korean pilot become the subject of gambling and sightseeing until Frank spoils the fun. "RADAR'S REPORT" Love, tragedy, duty and cross-dressing round out the activities in a typical week at the 4077th. "FOR THE GOOD OF THE OUTFIT" Hawkeye and trapper are outraged by the accidental shelling of a South Korean village and an attempted cover up by the US. "DR PIERCE AND MR HYDE" Angry, heartsick and exhausted after a nearly 3 day work shift, Hawkeye becomes even more slap happy than usual. "KIM" A tiny Korean boy wins the affection of Trappper, who hopes to adopt him. "L.I.P.(Local Indigenous Personnel) An enlisted man wants to marry the mother of his child, who happens to be Korean. The looks like a problem until Hawkeye steps in to help. "THE TRIAL OF HENRY BLAKE" Hot lips and Frank face off against Hawkeye when they try to get Henry ousted as commander of the 4077 "DEAR DAD ... THREE" Hawkeye updates his dad on the depths of tragedy and heights of humor taking place at the 4077th hospital unit. "THE SNIPER" The 4077th is plagued by a persistent young sniper bent on bringing down the "enemy" single-handedly. "CARRY ON, HAWKEYE" When a nasty flu infiltrates the 4077th, Hawkeye is the only doctor fit to operate. "THE INCUBATOR" Hawkeye and Trapper crash a press conference held by Army brass in an effort to get an incubator for their unit. "DEAL ME OUT" Despite troubling interruptions in the form of medical emergencies, the weekly officers' poker game at the 4077th thrives. "HOT LIPS AND EMPTY ARMS" Feeling the pangs of age and childlessness, Hot Lips impulsively requests a transfer. "OFFICERS ONLY" Hawkeye and trapper arrange for everyone at the 4077th to enjoy pleasures of an officers' club - whether they are officers or not. "HENRY IN LOVE" While on leave in Tokyo, Henry becomes infatuated with sweet young American who only has eyes for him-and everyone else at the 4077th! "FOR WANT OF A BOOT" Hawkeye starts a chain reaction of inter-Army bartering as he wheels and deals for a new pair of boots. "OPERATION NOSELIFT" Although cosmetic surgery is not high on the Army's list of priorities, Hawkeye and Trapper arrange for a nose job for an enlisted man. "THE CHOSEN PEOPLE" A Korean girl claims Radar is the father of her baby, to everyone's surprise, including Radar's "AS YOU WERE" Just when the 4077th becomes cozy with a lull in casualties, business as usual picks up again. "CRISIS" Personnel on the 4077th respond in typical fashion when supply lines are cut and shortages are imminent. "GEORGE" Hawkeye and Trapper decide it's time to blackmail Frank when he tries to obtain a dishonorable discharge for a homosexual soldier "MAIL CALL" When Frank's stock portfolio arrives in the mail, Hawkeye becomes an instant investment advisor who gives very bad advice. "A SMATTERING OF INTELLIGENCE" Two separate government spies show up at the 4077th to investigate Frank, so Hawkeye helps them both out-with completely contradictory information.

One of the best TV series ever made,
This review is from: M*A*S*H TV Season 2 (DVD)
One of the best TV series ever made, I have seasons 1 & 2 , just bought seasons 3 & 4, Now for the bad, the brainless twits who made these disks, made them to play one episode at a time. you will spend almost as much time changing episodes, as you will watching them. A REAL STUPID MOVE, makes you wonder how many extra years of collage it took to get that smart. Really makes you want to watch these over and over , providing you have the time to change episodes. I love the series, just hate the morons that made the disk set up.

Frank and Hot Lips the stars,
This review is from: M*A*S*H TV Season 2 (DVD)
Season Two has great character development, especially of Frank, Hot-Lips and Colonel Blake. Where season one focuses on Hawkeye, this series brings some of the others into play well. I feel that Trapper could get a bit more of his own plot-line, he is still largely Hawkeye's side-kick. But he plays a great supporting role, along with Radar, and is integral to this series' success.

MASH Season 2,
This review is from: M*A*S*H TV Season 2 (DVD)
This isn't the best MASH season out there, but it's still a great season of an amazing show. My personal favorite episodes include "Dear Dad...three", "Mail Call", "Five O'Clock Charlie", & "The Incubator". It's definitely worth it to pick up this set as well as all other MASH seasons. It's just a really great show.

Season two is definitely a step up from season one. The actors seem to feel a little more relaxed with each other, and it shows through the "pace" of the dialogue. Well worth the money spent for this season......

These episodes are the best largely because Allen Alda had yet to really dominate the series. He is still more in balance with the other players.
