This review is from: TV Show Vol 4 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a delightful collection of 4 episodes from Abbott and Costello's Television show from the early 50's. The titles of the four shows are as follows: "The Drugstore", "Square Meal", "$1000 Prize", and "Wife Wanted". In "The Drugstore", we find the boys starting off with their famous Jonah and the Whale routine, then get jobs at Mr. Field's brother's drug store, and havoc ensues. In "Square Meal", the boy's search for a cheap meal starts at Mr. Bacciagalupe's lunch counter, and ends at a fancy restaurant with Lou doing his famous "oyster soup" routine. In "$1000 Prize", Lou and Bud are repairing Mr. Fields TV while he is out. They are contacted on the telephone by an emcee(who mistakes Bud for Mr. Fields) of a live tv quiz program and win $1000 in Mr. Fields name. Watch as they scheme to get Mr. Fields out of his apartment when the award money arrives. In "Wife Wanted", Lou's grandfather promises Lou $10,000 if Lou is married. The boys must get Lou hitched before the grandfather's impending visit. See the boys terrorize the neighborhood girls trying to find Lou a wife.
