Have had TV Ears for 7 months until they failed completely. I called their 800 number to see how the LIFETIME SERVICE GUARANTEE (listed boldly on their packaging) worked. Boy, was I disappointed to find that they only Warrant the device for 90-days (almost a Lifetime??). After the 90-days, you pay freight to ship it back to them AND they charge you between $35 and $59 to repair or replace the unit. Isn't that a coincidence - very close to the cost of buying a brand new unit. When I gently challenged their LIFETIME SERVICE GUARANTEE, the service rep got very snippy with me. It's a good product, but I have to downgrade it significantly for a very bad warranty policy. If you've experienced this problem, do a review and maybe they'll see the need to "get real" and support their Premium Priced product with a reasonable warranty.

I bought other more expensive products and have been very dissatisfied, especially for the price I paid for one pair. The Sennheiser RS 130 Wireless Surround Sound Headphones...I paid $180 and they sound awful. I also had a pair of Rocketfish RF-WHP01 - Headphones ( ear-cup ) - wireless - radio - black and they were the most uncomfortable headphones I've ever worn. The ear cups were so small that only a child could fit their ear inside.

So far, these TV Ears are great. The sound isn't the greatest as far as quality goes (meaning there isn't anything spectacular like dolby, SRS, or imitation surround or 3D sound), but the sound clarity is excellent. They claim to be noise canceling and I think they do that very well. I also don't experience any of the interference I did with the other headphones. I have a cordless phone and a baby monitor on the nightstand next to my bed and these TV Ear's are not affected by them at all (unlike the other aforementioned products). I was a little worried that the IR (Infrared) wouldn't be as good as as the RF (Radio Frequency), but I've been pleasantly surprised. They actually pick up and maintain the signal with more ease than with the RF on the other headphones.

I was also somewhat apprehensive of having them hang in below my chin, rather than going over my head, but again I've been pleasantly surprised. I use these primarily to lay in bed and watch TV/Movies while my wife is sleeping. I have more range of movement with the TV Ears than I did with the over-the-head headphones. I can actually lay on my side a little bit, whereas with the other kind I couldn't at all.

What's left to say other than, "I just like these headphones." It's a good quality product at a good price; you can't go wrong with that.

I purchased these from the Medicine Shoppe through Amazon, only to find that the product does not work on my 2 digital TVs. When I contacted the manufacturer directly, I was told that TV Ears may not work with newer digital TVs. So I called the vendor. Pressing "1" for Customer Service sent me to a fax machine (twice). So I left a voice mail one week ago but still have not heard from them. I am hoping Amazon will not let me down. Their service up to this point has been impeccable.

They work great if you're within 6' of the transmitter, any further and you get a lot of static. Very short battery life, mine lasted about 6 months. (Yes, I put the headset on the charger every night!) Replacement batteries are very expensive, $19.95 plus another $9.95 for shipping. I would not recommend this product.

I purchased a set of T-V Ears from my doctor's office to help me understand the words as I listen to T-V. My husband enjoyed mine so much when he tried them, that I bought him a set that included the replacement ear tips. It's nice to be able to watch T-V without bothering the rest of the household or neighbors.

I could not get these things to work no matter what audio OUT jacks I used, I tried both the TV jacks and the jacks on the Satellite box. I called the "Help" line, and once they found out I had a digital TV and Satellite box, they were sorry to inform me that their product did not work with digital equipment, despite the part in the description about how it works on any TV. They then had the gall to offer to sell me a Digital Converter Box that would would make their product work for another $49.95!! I almost lost it!!! Needless to say, I chose to return it and look for another product that is a little more straightforward with their claims.

My husband's hearing was going down, the sound was going up on the tv - who can read with that blaring? I bought these and while weird seeing him with that hanging around his neck, its been wonderful having a quiet room while he watches tv and I read in peace!!! Now I dont have to dream of a room to read in alone!

I sent these as a gift to my father who at age 88 wears a hearing aid regularly. Even with the aid, he complained that he was unable to enjoy TV programs due to the background noise. These TV ears were the perfect solution and he tells me he hears better than he has in years and is once again able to listen to TV programs.

I cannot praise TV Ears enough!! I have bad hearing as well as ear problems. I was using a head set that covered the whole ear....after a while my ears would really throb. Also, there was a band across top of my head which messed up my hairdo! TV Ears is comfy & the clarity is unbelievable! I only wish I had purchased this a long time ago.

Received product in a timely fashion. It was necessary to make adjustments to tv to be able to use. Had my husband not been savvy, we would have had to order more product (cables) to the tune of $19.95. Tried ears on 3 different tv's with same issues. Once we got product to work it works wonderfully. 1-800 help number helpful.
