4.0 out of 5 stars "No Conspiracy Theory Here. Nicely presented case."
After all the conspiracy theories laid out by anyone with access to the Internet, it's nice to see two men of very knowledgable and repected backgrounds come together to lay out their case. While they don't say it with 100-percent asuredness, Parlier and Ready make a good case that a terrorist missile downed TWA 800. The likely suspects -- Iran. Both men lay out...

3.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing.
A plausible scenario, but doubtful as the issue of the stray fax. If that fax accidentally sent to an unknown housewife is legitimate, and I believe that it is, the Iran theory may be the wrong answer. For those who do not know, the FBI accidentally sent a fax to a home address instead of a Navy missile manufacturer, asking if they could identify drone wreckage found...

Both men lay out a very compelling case against Iran, citing their past history with terrorism, their public rhetoric and actions directed against the U.S., and their most likely reason, vengence for the Iranian Air bus shootdown in 1988. Eyewitness testimony, radar tapes and accident reports are all brought into play. A dramatized scenerio on how Iran could have pulled off such an attack is also presented, as is why the U.S. Government may not want certain things about the crashed to be released publicly in the here and now.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Intriguing Possibility!, March 28, 2002

This review is from: TWA 800: Accident or Incident ? (Paperback)
A very well researched and interesting book. Lots of information on terrorists and possible culprits of the air disaster. I like the fact chapter/fictionalized chapter concept of writing, letting the reader knwo what are hard facts and what is speculation by the authros.

If that fax accidentally sent to an unknown housewife is legitimate, and I believe that it is, the Iran theory may be the wrong answer. For those who do not know, the FBI accidentally sent a fax to a home address instead of a Navy missile manufacturer, asking if they could identify drone wreckage found with the TWA 800 wreckage as something built by them. If the Iran scenario is true, however, then it has serious implications for other Western governments and defence forces.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Very Plausible Explanation of the Cause of TWA 800 Crash, July 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: TWA 800: Accident or Incident ? (Paperback)
This well-researched and fully documented book is the one the government didn't want you to read!! Quoting from government reports, letters, and press conferences, the authors actually READ (now, there's a concept for you reporters out there) the reports and poke holes in them. It is noteworthy in their conclusionary chapter that they point out that the FBI and NTSB keep saying that there are 3 possibilities for the cause of the TWA 800 crash and only say to this day that a missle being the cause can not be ruled out nor proven with any certainty. What does that tell you, sports fans? Their hypothesis of the real cause of the crash, drawn out in a series of clearly delineated "fictional" chapters, is one which this reader finds very plausible. It only remains to be seen what the final shoe is that will ultimately drop if their hypothesis is, indeed, true!

I was floored when I read how I was quoted in a "non fiction" passage in this book. Floored because I never spoke to, or heard of the authors prior to picking up this book. This book was ill researched and reckless.
