Lacks contrast - hard to tell time, March 19, 2010

I bought one of these and ended up returning it because I simply could not glance at it and quickly tell what time it was. Unlike the picture shown of the watch, the hour, minute, and second hands blend in to the background of the watch dial and it takes some doing to tell what time it is. I think TX must have slightly changed the colors on the latest version of the watch. There is not so much silver or white on the dial now and the hands are much darker than shown on the picture at Amazon and other sites.
I was very sad to return the watch because it is very beautiful and seems very well made. I think the day-date pointer with the fourth hand is genius. I love how it gives a view of the whole week. If only there was more contrast between the hour-minute-second hands and the background, I would have loved to keep this for many years as my main watch.
