Sleek and Effective,

I was looking for swedish style goggles (minimalist design) but with eye rubber/padding for comfort. These are very sleek! Minimal material used in the design of these. Goggles fit nicely over the bridge of my larger than average nose. Performance in water is as expected, excellent field of view. These aren't the most comfortable goggles if you swim very long distances but are great for racing, timed events, and general short term use. I can see them becoming uncomfortable in a swim over a half mile. They fit the eye socket very snuggly so some may find them uncomfortable compared to padded goggles. These do have silicone/rubber around the eyecups so they are still somewhat comfortable and not as extreme as swedish style goggles. Overall an excellent purchase for my needs to swim under 500 yards. Only get a 4/5 rather than 5 because the anti-fog coating wears out quicker than i expected and these are a bit pricier than average. There are anti-fog products that can be applied but i don't find them to be worth it as they are short lived. Just splash some water inside to clear the fog, apply, and swim. A nice sleek goggle though. Definitely would recommend.

Not much to say about this item, seeing how they're only goggles. They look pretty darn cool with the sleek form factor and amber lenses. Sometimes the goggles don't suction all the way and leak water into them, especially when doing things like a pencil dive. This is a somewhat minor gripe though seeing as how they are racing and not diving goggles, plus the leakage is pretty minor (they didn't instantly fill up completely--just a some water at the buttom. The different nose pieces are a nice add-on, and the goggles are easily adjustable. The anti-fog layer works wonders as well. I would recommend these goggles to anyone, for pretty much any swimming activity.

This goggle is fairly slick and low-profile to be used for races (stays put on dives and flip turns w/out problems). At the same time it is comfortable enough to use for hours at a time. Amber is good for indoor swims.

Excellent and affordable,

2 years ago I decided to start training for a tri and needed to buy my first pair of goggles. I tried a foam cushioned pair from a brick and mortar because they were <$10 and they were terrible--letting water in all over the place. I decided to get something with a rubber seal and picked up the Tracers at another brick and mortar store. I have the gray lenses and they provide enough tinting for outdoor use but aren't so dark as to be unusable in a pool.
Fit wise they come with 4-5 bridge pieces so you can find the proper nose/eye gap that works for you. One other reviewer thought they would be uncomfortable for longer periods of time but I haven't found it to be the case. I routinely put in 1500m worth at a time and the only negative affect are the rings around my eyes afterwards that make me look all sullen. I finally burned out my first pair after two years of moderate usage and picked up a pair off Amazon for just >$10 with free 2 day through Prime. Can't beat that!

These are very nice goggles. Good visibility. Good fit. At least for me.
Warning: do not wash these with soap and water. They say not to, but I did anyway, because I'm a clean freak and I don't like to think about what's in the pool. The soap takes off some of the anti-fog coating to produce what looks like a scratched-up surface. Now I just rinse them and try not to think about what accumulates on them from the pool. |
