This toy was fun for my son to look at during tummy time (he couldn't really reach and play with it while lying on his tummy, but he could watch me crinkle the leaves and make the rabbit light up). Once he was able to sit up, the toy really came into its own. He loved to grab the crinkly leaves on the side, and would giggle when I made the ducks quack. The crinkly cat was the best feature, he would pull and poke and grab that a lot. As he got a little older, the mirror on the side provided a lot of fun and giggles. He was never really into the flower (I think it requires too much dexterity to enjoy or understand), or the pull-out butterfly (you have to pull hard enough on the butterfly that it would topple the toy over). The rabbit on top is really cool, but ridiculously hard to activate. You have to put the carrot in its mouth, but you to flip it onto one side (where the little sensor is), which is way too hard to figure out, esp for a baby. Nevertheless, my son loved it every time I activated the bunny for him, and would watch and giggle with delight at the tune and the rabbit lighting up. Despite the cons I have mentioned, this is one of the best toys we bought him, bringing us and him a lot of pleasure. It was fun for about 6 months, which is pretty good going for a baby toy.

Adorably Useless,

The tummy play trainer is eye-catchingly adorable but otherwise useless. When I saw this item I was sure it would be ideal to help my baby to exercise her neck and play on her tummy. Unfortunately, it kept toppling over (it comes with two plastic wires which you insert in holes at the bottom of the toy which is supposed to keep it rigid enough to stand up on its own). The musical bunny didn't work. I also thought it would be bigger in order to make babies look up...it's not tall at all. Overpriced on top of it all! If you love Taff toys designs, go for their Play Mats or Activity Cubes instead. |
