The opening of this fragrance automatically transports you to the halls of some castle in medieval times and gives you a sense of greatness, or you can imagine Earnest Hemingway typing away at his typewriter as the smoke from his pipe fills the room, mingling with the spicy incense in the bowls he had just brought back from a remote village in a deep african jungle. Ok, a bit over the top, but you get the point. This fragrance screams manliness, without screaming OLD MANLINESS. I keep a bottle of this one on my desk and often pull the trigger on it before i see large crowds. People love it.

This version of this product didn't seem to have the same potency as the previous bottle that I owned. I think I will stick to puchasing expensive fragrances at the department store.

I received a Creed sample pack for Christmas last year and ever since I've wanted to purchase something from them. I usually lean toward colognes with fragrance notes of cedar or sandalwood, vetiver, bergamot and ginger (YSL, Dolce & Gabbana's The One, Valentino V, Munsingwear Penguin), and Tabarome shares some of those notes. But whereas those other colognes often smell like imitations of each other (recently, it got to where my girlfriend couldn't tell the difference between The One and Penguin, even though they are two very different scents), Tabarome is in a class all it's own. I know there is a lot of hype surrounding Creed fragrances, seeing as how they're worn by royalty, celebrities and politicians, but Tabarome definitely lives up to the hype. Just wearing it today, I received several compliments at work. If you like woody, musky fragrances, this one is for you.

This has a very odd smell, but it's good. I can't describe it, but I want to say it's warm and raw with hints of ginger and a tiny bit of tobacco and leather.
