4.0 out of 5 stars great for picnics
This is a pretty good table, a bit heavier than I had expected, but all around pretty convenient with the carry bag to bring to a picnic. The construction is a little cheap, but the table is pretty well priced and seems fairly strong.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poorly Constucted
I recently purchased the wooden version of this table and am very disappointed in the quality of its construction. The hanger bolts that attach the legs to the top are incredibly off-center on three of the legs making it difficult to attach them. Additionally, the bolts stripped out of the wood on two of the legs on the first attempt to snug them. Trust me. I did not...

4.0 out of 5 stars great for picnics, August 17, 2010

This is a pretty good table, a bit heavier than I had expected, but all around pretty convenient with the carry bag to bring to a picnic. The construction is a little cheap, but the table is pretty well priced and seems fairly strong.

One thing the directions should be clearer about though is that you have to stretch the table to fit the support beams. The table is square, but when you open the package it appears the support beams are too long (which some of the other reviews here indicate as well). The solution is to simply stretch the table, so there's about a 1/4 inch gap between each of the planks, and it fits. The directions don't tell you to do this though.

I bought two of these tables and I'm very satisfied. They're light weight, which makes them easy to transport, assembles easily, durable, and breaks down easy. Perfect for intimate picnics, where you plan to sit on low beach chairs or on the floor. I'm very happy with this purchase and with the vendor.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for outdoor concerts, October 15, 2009

We just used this table for an outside jazz concert. It's easy to carry and set-up, the perfect height and size. Quite a few people came over to look at it and ask where we had found it. I expect the next time we are at that venue there will be more of these tables in attendance. I'm thinking of buying a few as gifts.

Trust me. I did not attempt to overtighten them. The wood of which the legs are made is extremely soft and I believe the holes were over-sized. Needless to say that this thing is getting returned. I don't understand why there is so little pride in workmanship. It would have added little or nothing to the cost of this unit to have made it right. I cannot recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really great table!, October 17, 2009

This review is from: Table in a Bag W2716 Portable Table with Carrying Bag, Brown (Lawn & Patio)
I highly recommend the table because it's a nice design, it's simple to use and take down, and it's a nice quality wood. We bought it with the intention of using it for outdoor concerts where we bring picnics along. I know we are going to get a lot of use out of this! Our first picnic was in our house, on the floor with the lovely table. We set up white christmas lights, flowers in a vase, put a red checkers tablecloth on it, and made a homemade pizza! Why wait for summer when you can have a little adventure in your own home!

1.0 out of 5 stars cheaply made, September 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We used this table in a bag 3 - 4 times and were not impressed with it. It is very rickety. The paint finish chipped easily and the last time we used it one of the legs would not unscrew from the base. We had to saw the leg off to return the table for a refund. I would not reccommend buying this product.

What a great table for concerts in the park and at the winery. No more trying to balance food items on my lap or on the ground.

1.0 out of 5 stars A sad imitation of another table...junky!, August 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Ugh, I should have paid more attention to the reviews left here instead of being optimistic that I would have a different experience. Flimsy, cheap, not well-made. The first time I used it, a friend's 6 year old child briefly leaned on the edge of it, bent the metal (!) on the corner and two of the legs bent out and ruined it completely! I was watching the whole time, and the kid (wasn't very big) and hardly touched the thing. What if an adult had tried to cut a baguette on a plate on top of it? Geez. So, after using the table once, I have to throw it away and buy the one I should have gotten originally: by driving downtown to the local "Box and Tub" showroom.

1.0 out of 5 stars Look elsewhere - this is a cheaply-made product, July 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Table in a Bag W2716 Portable Table with Carrying Bag, Brown (Lawn & Patio)
Poorly constructed as well. The wood-particle supports are weak - mine cracked in half on first use with minimal pressure. The screws in the table legs are off-center, don't fully/tightly screw in, and in several instances the screws came out of the legs entirely.

Even the bag is of horrible quality. The bottom of mine ripped and fell off even before the table ever came out of it. I then had to resort to using bungee cords to to keep the table together, as the bag was unsalvageable.

Go with a reputable manufacturer like Crate and Barrel or REI. I tossed this table in the trash after 3 attempted uses. Along with my $30, apparently.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great table, little shaky for toddlers, September 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is similar to the one I've seen from Crate & Barrel. I bought this since Amazon gave me free shipping on it. Very convenient & easy to set up. We have a 2 yr old toddler, so when she pushes up on it, it's a bit shaky, but it's not a solid table since it has elastic that runs through it in order for it to roll up. As she gets older, it shouldn't be an issue. Overall, I like this table & it does what I need for my family. It's made of aluminum & maybe it's not as nice looking as wood, but I like that you can just wipe it down.
