This is a great table for company and out of the way the rest of the time. Not sure how much weight it will support, haven't tried it with big serving dishes. I got the Home Decorators/Brookstone version and it should help that there is a 5th leg that folds down to keep the middle from sagging (this may be the difference between the Brookstone and lower-priced Target version - from the instructions it looks like the extra leg didn't used to fold). The only drawback is that the instructions say not to leave it up more than a week or so, so it is limited use and you can't "fake" a real table year-round (hence only gave it 4 stars). StakMore also makes it in a mission style.

The table arrived quickly and without damage. It's a little hard to figure out how it all works, but it is amazingly engineered. Looks good in any of its configurations. I'm going to add wheels to it, just to make it a bit easier to move around and change sized. It actually can make into FOUR sizes, if you just put in one leaf, then its a bit larger of a four person dining or card table. My only complaint is that the drawer handle is a little bit cheesy, and is of a size that is almost impossible to replace. For the price, you just can't beat this table.

I wanted an expandable table for my enclosed patio. Most patio table had a hole in the center for an umbrella
which was annoying. I could not find anything locally. However I searched Amazon and found this table.
I was leery about spending $353 for a table sight unseen however I was pleasantly surprised with the function and quality of the table. The wood is beautifully finished and solid.
I can seat 8 at the table. I've seen tables that seat 8 go for over $700. I like the idea of a fifth leg which stabilizes the middle when fully expanded. The best part is that it is made right here in NY USA!!

This table looks MUCH better than we expected. It is our hall console instead of putting it in the side room as we had planned. It is very easy to expand. I set the legs up in no time. I had to switch them until I found the right leg for the right spot, but it was easy to do before I started screwing legs in. We love it and recommend it to our friends.

This table was purchased for my great aunt who is elderly and doesn't live in my hometown. She reports that it came nicely packaged but that it's way too heavy for her to move the box out of her foyer. A table like this requires two people to move and set up. Buyer BEWARE: We dealt with Stacks & Stacks and learned their return policy the hard way.

shortening their 45 DAY RETURN POLICY from the day of delivery became a concern
2. Their refund deducts $53 restocking fee
3. Their refund deducts $64 shipping fee
4. The return shipping has to be paid by YOU and handled by you.
No Fedex or UPS shipping label will be issued from them for the return.

Total refund offered is $236 not including the cost for us to ship it back to the seller. So, at this point we will not be returning it, and will have to resell it at a fraction of the cost paid.

I have a little dinning area and I was looking for a table that could seat 4 people and extend to 6 or 8. I also did not want large dimensions. After and extensive research this product was the only one meeting my criteria.
The table came very well packaged, the quality in term of construction and finish was good. The 40 x 40 allow 4 people seating in comfort and in reality you don't need bigger, the proportions are excellent, the relation price quality is also excellent. I did not give 5 because I use the table with 4 seat and the table top folds in 3 parts instead of the usual 2. This 3th line is the only "surprise" I had; however the parts match well and is barely noticeable.
At last I would suggest the manucaturer to have a table that goes from 4 to 8 and avoid the console
