I bought this cookbook for a dinner club and so far, it's a great book. I have only tried 2 recipes, but they were fantastic and relatively easy. After flipping through the book I earmarked many more recipes that I would like to try. It's going to be a fun cookbook to use!

This cookbook is what I would consider good but not great. I definitely do not like this cookbook as much as I liked the Birmingham Junior League's Cookbook Food for Thought. I would highly recommend Food For Thought whereas I have been disappointed by this cookbook.
This cookbook is definitely fancier and more money has been spent on elaborate color pictures and a hardback cover. However, the recipes are not as tasty nor as appealing. Whereas I often open Food For Thought for food inspiration, Tables of Content leaves me unsatisfied. I search through the pages but the recipes are lacking the appeal of those contained in Food For Thought. While the pictures are gorgeous, I would skip all of the new fancy flair and spend the money purchasing Food For Thought instead.

This is a beautiful cookbook. The photography is lovely, and the recipes are luscious, and not all that difficult. They are hearty, southern fare with a gourmet spin. I could just sit and read the cookbook, and look at the pictures, but it inspired me to get off the couch and into the kitchen. It would make a fabulous gift!!

A fabulous follow-up to Food For Thought, which is my other go-to cookbook! Tables of Content contains many recipes which appear and taste difficult but really are not, and I love the information about the city of Birmingham. Favorites include White Chocolate Peanut Butter Bites (omg, my kids can make these, and they disappear!), Pumpkin Crunch Cake, Pumpkin Soup, and the Roasted Red Pepper Shrimp with Pasta. You won't regret buying it!!

My sister-in-law gave me this book for Christmas last year, and what a terrific gift! I have a quite extensive collection of cookbooks, and this one is a definite go-to for simple, elegant recipes. I have enjoyed it so much that I have purchased several to give as wedding presents to new brides/grooms who want to wow guests with impressive offerings without a lot of preparation time. Beautiful photos! Highly recommend!
