Do not expect this to have a lot of power, but more so, do not expect it to have enough to clean the air. It is simply too small and weak to do much. It even gathers dust outside of it, a further reinforcement that this thing is definitely not worth the money you put down. It looks very cool but simply does not do the job you may want to purchase it for. I have owned this little thing for about a year and I am surprised I haven't tossed it yet.
While my bedroom is under 100 sq. feet, this air purifier has proved very ineffective at picking up anything . The filter still looks brand new. Initially, I thought it would still be useful, since I could use it as a nightlight and white noise machine to help me sleep. However, I developed a sore throat within two days of plugging the product in. I did a little research and concluded that this model probably produces ozone, since sore throats are among the symptoms caused by too much exposure to this gas. I would advise anyone looking for a small, relatively inexpensive air purifier to look elsewhere.
-Fan is basically a USB powered computer fan
-Filter does not securely fit, lots of airflow around it
-Top does not lock on to bottom
-There is no way to turn off the blue LED (definitely not UV for air purification)
-Uses USB-A to USB-A cable which could damage devices if improperly used in other situations
This device is a joke. I received it for free and still feel ripped off.
You'd be better off attaching an HEPA a/c air filter to a box fan - would be cheaper and much more effective.
