Got mine direct from the makers who provide them for the show. I called first to make sure they are safe. Was told on the phone they ARE from China but tested safe. Yet, found out on the CBS Television website that they contain lead & cadmium etc etc who who knows how safe OR unsafe they are!
They ARE gorgeous and cheap if bought from correct source. Handles are comfortable and never hot but the cup body itself does heat. GREAT cups if they don't kill me.....There are 3 different color combos I know of. I have this color in my 1st set.
Below is the warning I found with this mug:
WARNING TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: The colored artwork or designs used on this product contain lead and/or cadmium, chemicals known to the State of California to cause birth defects and other reproductive harm. This warning is required by Proposition 65.

i was looking to replace hand made ceramic mugs with ones that could hold 16 ounce. i was looking for a south western theme. the sedona gave me every thing i was looking for. picked the brown and blue mugs but other colors are available. the mugs balance are great and they are comfortable to hold in your hands.
