About the Author
(Found on the back cover of the book) “The paper and pen; the talisman of my creative journey; strange lives, peculiar views, and vast worlds found within. A Picasso never looked better. My writing roster includes eight feature-length screenplays (TABLOID! included), half a dozen dormant scripts-in-progress, greater portions of two books, and reams of personal thoughts, philosophies, and anecdotes. The laundry list of my future titles will take me to my deathbed where they’ll have to pry the pen from my cold, dead fingers.” The story of TABLOID! doesn't end with The End. In fact, it's just beginning. “Satire is at once the most agreeable and most dangerous of mental qualities. It always pleases when it is refined, but we always fear those who use it too much; yet satire should be allowed when unmixed with spite, and when the person satirized can join in the satire.” Francois Duc de la Rochefoucauld Found within this novel is a screenplay for a movie starring the Gang of 7. I began the first draft of the screenplay over ten years ago and went through multiple drafts as the news of the day changed. It's been quite a ride. (Our dear departed Whitney Houston was an original character). Because I’ve been stranded in the netherworld of the motion picture industry with microscopic hopes of getting a story as provocative as this to someone in-the-know, I decided to adapt the screenplay to a novel in order to gain greater access. As you read TABLOID! imagine it as a movie. Now I just have to get the real (not reel) Gang of 7 to make the actual movie. This is the ultimate end to TABLOID! This is where the true power is. TABLOID! asks these celebrity actors to play their greatest role. TABLOID! allows them to seek their own real-life revenge against the tabloids they’ve long battled. Art imitating life; life imitating art. Welcome to TABLOID! World.
