About the Author

British born Kay Taylor Parker has been a metaphysical counselor and mentor, minister, telepath and a tireless worker for consciousness raising, for the last fifteen years succeeding a highly successful career in the 1970's and 80's as an actress in the Adult film Genre. Her best known film is "Taboo," now a cult classic. Parker's path of personal healing took her deeply into past life regression and, in the process, she discovered many answers and revelations about the dynamics of human evolution and the collective journey upon which we are all embarked. Kay shares openly about integrating sexuality and spirituality and releasing her shame.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compelling book by a compelling lady..., November 28, 2001
This review is from: Taboo: Sacred, Don't Touch: An Autobiographical Journey Spanning Six Thousand Years (Paperback)
Kay Taylor Parker was a legend in the adult films industry - a classier, more attractive woman has never been found. Now she turns her talents to writing her autobiography. This is a compelling read about a remarkable life's journey. Kay approaches it as she seems to have approached everything else in her life - with honor, style, and passion. This is well worth a read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A work of love by a classy lady!, December 18, 2001

This review is from: Taboo: Sacred, Don't Touch: An Autobiographical Journey Spanning Six Thousand Years (Paperback)
This is one of those books that is easily likened to an old friend, one full of love and warmth. That's how I felt when I read it. Indeed, the author lets the reader in on her life's journey full of triumphs and sorrows with a candor and transparency that is utterly endearing. I agree with the above review wholeheartedly. This book is a compelling read and the type of a book that powerfully invites re-reads. I admire how this gutsy lady tackles difficult topics in her life head-on like shame and unworthiness. She never overplays it in any way for effect---just addresses these (and other tough topics) with just the import they deserve in natural and genuine way.The effect is that the author's writing takes on an effortless ease. What is conveyed is a very wise, generous, loving spirit. It's as though you're reading the words of a dear friend. Also, from time to time, she displays a delicious sense of humour to boot! I heartily recommend this book! It is definitely a 5 star effort!
