Dialogus de Oratoribus,

This review is from: Tacitus: Dialogus de oratoribus (Cambridge Greek and Latin Classics) (Paperback)
Very up to date bibliography and high quality research, the sort one expects from the Cambridge Greek and Latin Classics series. The introductory material is 50 pages of in-depth information complemented with 129 pages of line-by-line commentary. Anyone interested in a discussion of rhetoric and oratory in the 1st century C.E. in a style a la Cicero will want to look at this commentary. The eloquence of this period of Roman literature is too good to resist.
