this is actually a "greatest hits" type album, though not promoted that way. these tracks come from 4 earlier releases (pre-tuff enuff and wrap it up). the jimmy vaughn/kim wilson combination, on guitar and harmonica, provide the heat for those texas blues and jump sound. a steady bass and drums provide the hopping back beat. there is one track that is previously unreleased and a few live tracks tossed in. this is a good disc to have if you want some of the older fabulous thunderbird music but don't want to invest in all the discs (although they are worth it). as an earlier review said, it is a great party disc, so dig the groove!

If you're a fan of the T'Birds in their pre-hit record incarnation, and you haven't got the Different Tacos CD, which was released in 1996, then this will be some consolation. That's because this CD (like Different Tacos) contains the demo versions of My Babe and Can't Tear It Up Enuff, both of which are equal to the versions released on their fourth album and which have great energy and a vibe of their own.

So...I recommend this for those two tracks. The rest is good, naturally.

However, if you are fortunate enough to find a copy of Different Tacos, grab it!

If you love rocking blues from a classic band then this is the album for you.

Party music for the ultra-kool. This is a great collection you will love!
