5.0 out of 5 stars Affordable Tactical Laser/Light, January 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tactical Pistol Compact Red Laser with QD Quick Release Flash Light Compatible with M1913 weaver rail (Misc.)
I wanted to find a good laser attachment for my .40 S&W Px4, thus I scoured the internet for something under $100. Stumbled upon this after two days of searching and finally decided to buy the set.

You get both laser and light with their respective batteries. The previous reviewer states that the batteries are uncommon and such, which became one of my deciding factors, until I found that they were actually fairly cheap if you know where to look in the internet.

The quality of the laser/light is great. They don't feel cheaply made and fit together tightly. You could always remove the laser and just use the light. There was a very, very slight jiggling after I mounted the set, but that could easily be remedied.

Windage and elevation are adjusted by set screws that I felt were a bit lose, but I'll tighten them with teflon tape later. The recoil screw can be taped as well.

Overall, I love this set. The set matched my Px4 perfectly and gave it the military tactical look I was hoping for, at a low cost compared to the named brands. I haven't range tested how the set would take recoil yet, but I'll update soon.

UPDATE:
Shot 150 .40 rounds and the laser barely moved. Highly recommend. Revised to a 5 star

3.0 out of 5 stars Very nice package for a great price!, January 26, 2010

So far I am completely astounded by the quality and price of this laser light package. Not only is it affordable, but it feels like a quality product. It's made of a durable metal construction with easy to operate switches. I haven't actually shot with this yet, but it was a snap to install and sight. The laser is very bright, even during daylight and under indoor fluorescents. The LED light was visible for 40 yards+ and is an awesome white (not ugly yellow).

What's even better is that the light is detachable, so you can just use the light-weight and semi-compact laser when you're out plinking. I recommend this product for the beginner and novice shooters, only because I know the veterans will want the official Glock laser/light combo, or none at all because they're just that good a shot. I on the other hand like to have some fun and the enjoy the intimidation factor for an unexpected house guest.

The only CON to this product is the batteries are not as common in the U.S. as they are in China (where it's manufactured). The light uses a CR123A and the laser uses a CR1/3. Other than that (and not having shot with this yet) I'd give it a 4/5 for over quality and construction. If it goes out of alignment when shot, I may drop a star...

UPDATE: So after using this product, I had to drop a star. The laser gets out of alignment very easily after a few shots. Looking into putting either lock-tight or plumbers tape to help the issue. Will report back.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Value, Solid!!, November 11, 2011
This review is from: Tactical Pistol Compact Red Laser with QD Quick Release Flash Light Compatible with M1913 weaver rail (Misc.)
Heres my take....

My Gun:

Beretta PX4 9mm

The Light:

Pro: Solid Piece and Well Built, Great look, Battery included (Name brand to boot) Shines bright and very reliable ( I even did drop tests)

Cons: 1/10th inch to long to be placed on my Px4 without the laser attached( Worked great on my Sig though).

Overall: B+

The Laser

Pro: Compact and bright! Visible at 50 feet in the daylight/ 50 Yards at night. Simple adjustments. Battery included.

Con. Rail attachment needed some work to fit just right. Seemed to be of less quality make. Did need slight adjustment after first 250rds.

Overall B-

Final Score 4/5
