I bought this for my eldest son, who was absolutely rapt until he realized that he would have to learn some serious maths to understand it. The book is utterly formiable in that is really does cover a multitude of engineering aspects of the mechanical, electronic, and aerodynamic problems concerned with this topic.

I should say that being peaceniks, we only got this book REALLY because of two reasons; one, it's the real thing; you learn so much from it; and two: I have to say that in all honesty that it's fantastic to have this in the back of your car, folks. If you want a reputation and a half, go and leave it hanging around when you go to the local pizza takaway or read it casually while you're waiting for that Chicken Tikka Masala. Damn, you get respect from the locals after that one; I never got so many offers in my life - but they were all from strange people in expensive suits with funny accents. I'm not entirely sure if that is what you are after, gentle reader, but make sure that you are squeaky clean before putting this in the shopping basket. Other than that, I should say that it really does behove you to check out the other titles in this series. They are all absolutely down to the nail. Engineering at it's best.
